When we arrived we proceeded to stand in line behind the ONLY other person in the check in line and that was also standing behind the lady checking in, in front of the ONLY person sitting at the check in desk. After a few minutes another man walked up behind us. The lady in front of us was called to the desk and then another lady walked up into the entrance on the other side of us. I was next but instead of calling me up she asked if I was VIP. I wasn't so she told me that I was in the VIP line and had to wait until the lady that had JUST walked up was finished before she could take me..... WAIT - WHAT??? There were NO SIGNS stating this line is for the people who are more important, the guy behind us even asked where was the sign stating that this was a VIP line. We asked for a manager, but she also dismissed the situation and said that she knows that the lines are not marked (so somehow we are supposed to know) and she was SORRY that it was a mix up. All of a sudden it was important that there be more than 1 person sitting at the desk. Neither of the two photos say VIP.

When I first arrived at the desk to check in, I was greeted very cordially by Constance and Hannah, who were very pleasant and friendly, polite, and professional. They took great care in helping me get the room that was just right for me!
The room was clean, modern, nicely decorated, with everything you'd need for a pleasant stay - refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and coffee (they also have free coffee in the office), plenty of fresh, clean towels), nice lighting (they actually have the more expensive 'yellowish' LED lights that create light that is better for your eyes - some lesser hotels have the stark, unpleasant 'blue-ish' LED lights. So, even the lighting in the room was nice. :) The TV is very nice, with many, many satellite channels, and they have a digital clock that allows guests to plug in their USB devices so they can wake up to their favorite music, or news.
They offer a REALLY great breakfast, including breakfast sandwiches, bagels, cereal, juice, milk, and much more. What really impressed me, though, is that when I said I'd be leaving too early to take advantage of the breakfast, Constance and Hannah replied, ”Oh, well, if that's the case, you can come get breakfast anytime you want. The office is open 24 hours a day. That kind statement really made my day, because when I travel, I rarely get to take advantage of the free breakfast offered by many of the hotels, since I usually get on the road around 4AM. Thank you for that, ladies!!!!

The hotel is nicely situated in Fondren, a nice neighbourhood in north Jackson. The suite was nicely appointed, though our shampoo dispenser was empty. The gym is fantastic. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was adequate, though complimentary.
Overall the stay was OK… the bed was comfortable, the carpet r need to be vacuum and shampooed, the bathroom floor needed to be cleaned..Make sure you have slides to wear while you’re in the room… the breakfast was better than other places I have stayed…the weekday front desk staff much nice and friendly than the weekend staff besides the young lady who was there Monday Morning 5/12/25 not so nice .

As always front desk staff greeted and this set the tone for the entire stay. Room was super clean and all amenities were present and in their correct spaces. Breakfast was good - could have been a bit hotter. Great stay!

TTài khoản kháchWe never previously stayed at a LaQuinta and I can assure you we never will again!!! We were lied to about the room by the front desk person who got off at 3 p.m. The first room we were in, that the front desk person lied about and moved us to, appeared to have water coming up through the floor. When we entered the room water was puddles under the bed and around two sides of it. We cleaned it up except for the part to show the water was clear and not a mess made by our dog. When we tried to call the front desk, the room phone did not work at all not even a dial tone. While waiting for the front desk to change our room, we flushed the toilet and it was like a floodgate of water started appearing from the floor.
Getting back to the front desk girl lying to us. I told her that I cannot physically climb stairs because she was telling me i would have to climb 3 flights of stairs dur to problems with the elevator. We were told that though the room would be a queen bed, instead of a king, it was not as far to walk as the elevator and it was a drive up room. Well, let me tell you, we passed the elevator on the way to the room and it was all the way to the end of the hallway. Also, from the after 3 p.m. desk clerk, who straightened out the first desk clerk's mess and who did not lie to us, we found out this LaQuinta has NO drive up rooms!!!
I has prepaid our room with no mention of a fee for our dog. So, in addition, this dishonest front deskperson charges us a $25 fee for our dog.
When we checked out today, my husband asked for a receipt and the dishonest front desk person told him it would be emailed to us. Honestly, at this point we do not trust that our credit card information is secure and has not been lifted. Given all of this, we will NEVER stay at any LaQuinta again and will actively discourage our friends and family from staying in any LaQuinta.

TTài khoản kháchThe grounds and exterior of the White House hotel is wonderful. However, other features of this hotel leave something to be desired. Firstly, if you're looking for a place to unwind by the pool with a great ocean view, you're in luck, but unfortunately the pool is not heated. The dining room was unavailable due to ”construction” or ”remodeling,” so any food ordered (which was good) either had to be room-service or eaten at the bar. I stayed in a standard room with a king bed, which was not very comfortable. The vanity light in the bathroom was only half lit, making shaving difficult. The TV in the room was old and the back light seemed to be going out. There was a small 3 drawer dresser for clothing, but other than that, really nothing other than the nightstands to set things on (but there was a very small bistro table for the coffee maker. And the most frustrating part, the AC unit either made the room VERY cold or VERY warm. The uncomfortable bed, with thin covers and a bipolar HVAC made getting good rest impossible. For the same price or less, I could have stayed at one of the casinos with better amenities and more comfortable rooms.

TTài khoản kháchThe hotel was in a great location. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping places. The young man that checked us in was very pleasant and friendly. I did not eat at the hotel because the breakfast was very pricey, and I travelled with several people so I couldn't afford to pay that price for everyone. I have always stayed at Holiday Inn and never had to pay for breakfast. The room was nice but the person in the room either in front of me or behind smoked all night. I coughed and sneezed because of the cigarette smoking. I tried to cover my head, lay on the other end of the bed but it didn't help. I left with a very sore throat. When checking out the young lady at the front desk was not so friendly, she was working on something on the computer and kept her head down for a long time before she finally asked could she assist me. She never asked me about my stay. I had questions about my bills that was not explained before I booked the hotel, she did explain to me the various charges although, I totally disagreed with them.
JJerrica JMy mom and I stayed here for a concert that was 30 minutes away. We arrived late Friday evening and was gone all day Saturday. When we got back Saturday night at midnight, it was really hot in the room, so I contacted the front desk and told her I didn’t think the air was working. She told “maintenance”. I heard him ask why were we just now calling. He came in asked if we touched the unit and then left and came back with a shop vac and vacuumed it out and said it would be good to go and said 74 is a perfect temperature. It indeed did not work so I told them again and this time the “maintenance man” was now the “manager”. I asked if we could change rooms. They said they didn’t have any more double rooms. Finally after 30 minutes-1 hour they finally gave me a single room. I didn’t get reimbursed for a double for that night. I will most likely not stay here again. The “maintenance man” or “manager” whatever he was, was very rude.
