The best idea if you want to explore Avatar’s mountains is to get a place right there, because it’s far from the city. I got this place and felt really well accommodating for 2 nights. Shared room, but comfy bed, with good privacy, light blocking curtains and everything you need inside the bed space. Locker inside the room, common areas downstairs to eat, work or hang out. Staff is nice and helpful. Good location, right in the middle of restaurants and street food, some convenience stores nearby, walking distance to the entrance of the park.

Perfect location to explore the national forest park. Staff is very kind and they will help you planning your time at the park and at nearby attractions. The rooms need some maintenance and renovation soon but overall good

Amazing location literally 10 min away from East Gate entrance to the park. Super friendly and helpful staff, good air conditioning in the room. Comfortable beds, great design of common spaces. Generally rooms and bathrooms would require refurbishment or at least deep cleaning but it doesn't change fact I liked a lot this place. Hostel attract right type of guests

The hostel is well located, less than 10 minutes away from the entrance of the national park, which makes it really convenient. It looks good from the outside, the common area is quite welcoming and makes it easy to socialize. However, the hostel lacks cleaning. It does not seem to be cleaned everyday, which is, to my taste, not nice. There are only squatting toilets as well, and the bathrooms are also dirty. The beds are comfortable enough, and the room is spacious, with a fair amount of storages. There is humidity in the room though. It thus requires lots of aeration/ac. Overall, my stay was nice because I got to meet lots of people, but it might feel lonely if there is not a lot of people in the hostel.

The host was extremely friendly. It’s close to the Zhangjiajie national park, about 10 minutes walking. The guests were very friendly and welcoming. The staff were helpful.

This is a great hostel to stay in if you want to visit the national park. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the park entrance. The host speaks a bit of English and can explain the park to you. You will also meet more international travellers in this hostel which is rare for China. The beds are very comfortable. I would recommend the bathroom be cleaned more frequently.

Very very best hostel in Zhangjiajie

The location is perfect! A few minutes walk to the East gate and a 1 minute walk to the nightly street market. The receptionist or boss is very friendly and helpful. He provides a lot of information and can book the National Park tickets for cheaper than I could find. The whole hostel is very clean and the beds are comfortable. Each bed has a curtain, lamp, and can charge two things. Their is a nice lobby and also a rooftop for people to relax. The only thing to be aware of is that there are only squat toilets in the hostel.

Couldn’t ask for a better location. Staff were friendly and helpful, let me try a bit of their food which was kind. Everything was clean enough and the roof terrace was a good place to chill. Overall would highly recommend to anyone, perfect for English speakers

Really lovely staff, extremely helpful and generous. Amazing location right next to the park, and a short ride from Tianmen mountain. My only criticism would be that the room I stayed in was a little damp, there was some mold on the ceiling which could also be smelled. The bathrooms were fairly clean but did smell a bit, overall it was a cool spot and I’d definitely stay again.

Hostel was great launchpad for exploring Zhangjiajie. Location is perfect - right at the east gate of the scenic area for early starts into the forest park where you’ll want at least 2 days and the best spectacle in the area, very short bus/taxi to the Grand Canyon/Yellow Dragon Caves Friendly staff and fellow travellers had a great laugh together and always someone to talk to - but was also quiet enough at night to sleep and get up early for the exploring. Left on last day and went back to town to do Tianman mountain - line C, use luggage storage at entrance and pick it up and go straight to airport after. Ideal. Matt

Bathroom is squat toilet, beds have curtains, there’s AC in the room but it’s still kind of hot, it’s 10 minutes walk to the main gate that everyone uses, a 2-3 minute walk to the street were all the nightlife food spots are. WiFi is ok, bathroom is mediocre, plug night light shelf all the usual stuff. Landry machine on the 5th floor, front desk people speak English

The room and bathroom could be cleaner BUT the staff is amazing!!!! And a lot of international people come here which is a great atmosphere when you don’t speak Chinese. Perfect location next to the east gate entrance. Would definitely recommend!! 😊
