We had a lovely one night stay at the Hotel Barbara. We would have liked to stay another night but it was fully booked. Our room, 204, was really nice with a view onto the ocean and a small balcony with two chairs. Our only slightly niggle about the room was there was a 10cm step as you came out of the room which we both tripped up or down many times. The hotel is right on the coast and there are stone areas to sit with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. There are steps with railings to get into the sea - it was a lovely place to swim, so much so that we got up at dawn up have another swim before breakfast. Parking is tricky in Piran but we parked in a public area about 5 minutes walk away. We left our car there for two nights and one full day which cost £30. There is a shuttle bus from Hotel Barbara to Hotel Piran in the centre of town which was handy. There is also a beautiful walk on a path around the coast which we did in the day and also at night. It took about 25 minutes and was really lovely. We bathed off the path a few minutes from the hotel when the sun was very high as there was good shade there. The breakfast food and eating area were very nice with a good buffet food. We had a drink at the outdoor bar before leaving which wasn't so great as the music was blaring loud.

Loved this place. It's got a 50s vibe decor that's really fun and is on a beautiful location with lots of lounge chairs and stairs that lead to the Adriatic for a swim. The restaurant is really good and so is the free breakfast. It's a lovely 15 minute walk along the waterfront to the Old Town of Piran. Glad we stayed here.

We had two nights here as our final stop on our Slovenia fly drive. Bedroom was lovely with a balcony and sea view. The breakfast was great and all the team were really friendly and helpful. Special mention to Jasmina who was especially nice and helpful. About a 20 minute walk to the town. We managed to swim a couple of times despite the mixed weather.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We really enjoyed our trip here. The staff were lovely - Zan was very helpful. The breakfasts were nice and the surrounding countryside is lush and green. It’s an easy walk to Piran (bit dark on the way back). Very comfortable and clean.

The hotel is located right on the beach (well, what goes as ‘beach’ here – basically a concrete deck up to the sea), with all rooms having a sea view. It is still within easy reach of the centre of Piran, reached by a path along the coast. As you reach the hotel, you will find that parking is a real issue – there are not enough parking lots for all 50+ rooms, and the area is popular for going to the beach; the public parking lots charge 15 € per day, are at least 100 m away, and fill up as well. The reception is friendly and efficient. Once you are checked in, you walk through the breakfast room and up a ramp to a single, small, old elevator that takes you up to the rooms in the main building; it doesn’t inspire much confidence, so most guests only use it to bring their luggage to / from the rooms – it’s only three storeys max… While some rooms (those with numbers ending with x06 to x09) face the lake and the coastline of Piran, the rest is built to face more towards the sea; that makes little difference in terms of the views, but keeps the sun out more. The rooms are small for two people, in particular the wardrobe – it looks like it is rather made for a stay of a few days than for a week or two. There is a little fridge / minibar; the WiFi works. The bathrooms are very small (except for the shower), with no place to put toiletries (well, on the cistern of the toilet…) – two people will struggle to use it at the same time. There is a hair dryer with US sockets. The beds are good, but only have a single pillow type. There are opaque curtains to keep the daylight out; while they leave light through at the sides and the top, they do a reasonable job. It is very quiet at night (unless the other hotel guests aren’t…), so all set for a good night’s sleep. A simple but reasonable breakfast buffet is included in the room charge, with seating inside and on a terrace facing the beach and the sea. During the day and in the evenings, reasonable food can be had at the restaurant; the service is efficient (no long waiting times).

A great location for visiting Piran without being in the busy centre, this hotel is an easy 15 walk along the seashore path. Our room was clean and comfortable and we made use of the evening food offering of the beach bar/restaurant every day of our stay. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and all the staff we encountered were welcoming and helpful. Worth noting the charges for parking if you have a car and when arriving navigate the long road route which is much easier!

Luckily we’ve booked this disgusting place for only one night. We have chosen it because of its location right by the sea. BIG MISTAKE. See the pictures attached for how disgustingly dirty our bathroom was when we checked in. We have raised the issue with the lady at the reception however she was questioning when did we check in, when are we checking out and commented how she had no housekeeping staff available on site anymore (it was 5:30pm). Rooms are very small, hotel is old and neglected, shower broken, fixtures and furniture very very cheap and do not justify a 200€ price point. Beach bar staff have not being trained properly and the lady receptionist was exceptionally rude. Needless to say- our bathroom was never cleaned after we’ve raised the issue. By far, this was the grottiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

We spent one week in this hotel. I usually enjoy better places with multi-star hotels around the world, but I honestly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I must forget some small details about the facilities in this hotel, because this hotel is older, but the main values ​​have a different way. Perfect helpful staff. Always happy and smiling lovely Lara and Sebastian etc at reception, Natasa and other staff at the bar were great. All our requirements were fixed, everything is possible, I was very happy to meet such positive and nice friendly people as we met at Barbara Piran Hotel in Slovenia. The hotel has a great location, but the sea, they have great breakfasts and everywhere in all areas it smells beautiful. Natasa and her staff behind the daily bar are impeccable! I was worried about parking the car but everything was secured as promised. My final words, if I have a chance to go back one day, I will!!! because I have to recommend this place to everyone who travels. If you have any problems, call the fantastic Lara, she is almost always there, she will help you, as they always helped me! Thank you for everyone!!!

Ci siamo fermati in questo albergo per un fine settimana alla fine di luglio. L'albergo sembra abbastanza recente o ristrutturato da poco. Ottima accoglienza. Il personale parla italiano e sono tutti molto gentili e simpatici. L'albergo dispone di un terrazzo sul mare sul quale ci sono le sdraio o le rocce per poter prendere il sole. All'arrivo ci sono state date le tessere per gli asciugamani e un braccialetto per fare la doccia all'esterno (solo fredda). Le sdraio sono incluse nel costo del soggiorno, ma purtroppo non ce ne sono a sufficienza per tutti gli ospiti. Si può fare tranquillamente anche il bagno in mare scendendo qualche scalino. Il mare era fresco e limpido, una goduria. E' presente un bar con musica dove si può anche pranzare. Abbiamo scelto di restare in spiaggia anche il giorno della partenza prenotando un gazebo (cabana) il giorno prima al costo di €30. In reception ci hanno gentilmente tenuto i bagagli nell'apposita stanza. La colazione era molto ben fornita, con frutta, dolci, yogurt e anche salato. Il centro di Pirano è raggiungibile con una passeggiata lungo la stradina sul mare in 15 min. Rispetto alla città che era un forno, nella zona dell'albergo si stava molto meglio, più fresco. Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante dell'albergo e il cibo era buono, anche se un po' troppo costoso. Per parcheggiare l'albergo gode di una convenzione con un parcheggio multipiano dall'altra parte della città. Costo €21 e servizio navetta incluso.

Hotel położony w ładnym miejscu nad morzem. Betonowa plaża przy hotelu, kilka zejść do wody. Przy dużym wietrze utrudnione wejście do wody i pływanie, za duże fale. Pokój wyremontowany, z balkonem. Darmowe kosmetyki. Woda w pokoju już płatna - mała butelka 3 euro. Darmowe ręczniki plażowe, ale za leżak (10 euro), parasol (5 euro) lub łóżko z materacem (25 euro) trzeba zapłacić dodatkowo. Na szczęście można siedzieć za darmo na dużych kamieniach dookoła. Ponadto każdy dzień parkowania przy hotelu to 11 euro extra (a nie można zaparkować w innym miejscu). Przy rezerwacji nie było informacji o tych kosztach, bo cena za dobę sama w sobie jest wysoka. Dodatkowe opłaty zaskakują ludzi przy wymeldowaniu. Na plus różnorodne śniadanie, chociaż jajka i kiełbaski na ciepło śmierdzą. Śmierdzą też korytarze, winda i zasłona przy windzie. Nie polecam. Za taką cenę lepiej jechać do Chorwacji czy Włoch, Słowenia poza opłatami za wszystko nie ma nic do zaoferowania.

Das Hotel hat die perfekte Lage, wenn man sich am Meer erholen möchte. Das Personal ist überdurchschnittlich freundlich und sehr professionell. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und bietet viel Auswahl. Es gibt eine tolle Terrasse für das Frühstück mit Blick auf das Meer und die Bucht. Ich habe wirklich schon viele schöne Orte besucht, aber das Hotel Barbara Beach ist definitiv einer meiner liebsten Orte und sicher einer der erholsamsten.

La posizione e' magnifica,con la camera che abbraccia il mare..... Terrazza sulla baia, lettini ed ombrelloni..... Tutto predispone al relax e alla bellezza della natura. Inoltre lo staff merita i complimenti: educazione e garbo. Un bel grazie!
