I went on a 13-day trip around Palawan and Coron was my first stop from Cebu. In Coron, I stayed in Dayon Hostel. I was alone for the duration of my three-night stay in the six-bed female dorm. You can choose to lock the door at night for security. I made sure that I turned off the AC every time I went out. The restrooms are clean especially the toilets although the shower rooms need to be upgraded as some showerheads do not function that well. It will also be nice if they do a thorough cleaning of the shower rooms and the sinks as they looked dirty and unkempt. There is a restaurant on the rooftop but the options are limited. If you exit through the back, it leads you the main road where you will find a wonderful cafe that serves good sausage meals. There are also several local options available if you want affordable options. The price I paid was worth the quality of the stay. The hostel is known by tour operators and guides and so it was not a challenge when it was time for pick-up and drop off. I loved the staff especially when I had to leave early in the morning to head to the port for my trip to El Nido. They arranged my transportation and made sure that I left the hostel on time. Will I go back? Maybe not and it's not because I don't like it. It's just that I felt that my next stay should be in a private room for another worthwhile experience in Coron. But for those solo travelers on a budget, Dayon Hostel is your best bet in Coron in as far as affordable sleeping option is concerned.

location is perfect just few block for a market and walking distance to the marina we're the boats for excursion is dock and load. The hotel accomodations is just basic small bed low and very thin mattress, pillow and blanket is excellent soft, water supply is abundant although electricity us intermitent on and off, our aircondition unit has been affected that doesn't giving cold air glad it was just out last night. pool is beautiful and cleaned , food for breakfast is superb better and giid quality selection. the staff are very polite and respectful, very helpful and get job done as much as possible, they pack a sandwich breakfast for us as we have early trip to El Nido that was very nice if rhem. The water supply is not drinkable so they provide bottled water and you can ask for a refill. They will give you a welcome drink of a fruit drink. This is really a good location, my only dislike is the bed, as it's very small when they say twin bed it is a twin bed, other than that it's ok. Yes its more pricey compare to the sorrounding hotel but the food and pool are the best.

It was a pleasant stay at Sun Ez Resort. We had a spacious room that comfortably fit our family of four (2 adults and kids aged 12 and 14). The resort has a nice swimming pool and several cottages where you can sit and relax. Breakfast offered a good variety (around 8–10 dishes), including Filipino, Korean, and American options, along with fruits and juice. They also provide a free one-way tricycle ride to town from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, which was very convenient. The location is great—less than a 5-minute walk to McDonald’s and not far from town. A big bonus is the on-site restaurant, where we could easily have lunch and dinner after a long day of island hopping. The food was quite nice. The only downside is that some areas could use better maintenance, as there were a few stains on the floors and walkways. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to stay and good for families.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days and 3 nights and it was worth the money. The room was spacious and clean. Hot and cold shower was available. The staffs were very kind and accommodating to our needs. I was able to work for 1 night with their internet even if it was just around 8mbps but there will be times the internet will be out. If you get the other side of the hotel, you will get an amazing view of the mountain. Only downside of our stay was that my husband got diarrhea on the last day of our stay, it could be from the boat tours or may be from the hotel buffet since I was not able to eat some of the meals there while my husband did. But overall, the hotel stay was great! Hopefully Palawan solves this ongoing “diarrheic outbreak”. We were able to visit Puerto Princesa and El Nido before but never had the experience getting sick.

Overall, average hotel. I was disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again. Room: stayed 5 nights. The room has a mold smell upon entering that persisted even with the bathroom door closed. The toilet also flushed very slow and sometimes required 2 flushes. Room was spacious, and otherwise quite clean and comfortable. Quite dated and furniture had lots of dings/scratches which doesn’t really matter. Staff: I always try to be friendly to service workers because I know their work is hard. The staff I encountered seemed grossly disinterested. On the day of check in, I asked for some water (as I had to wait a few hours till check in), and was asked to pay 65 php for a bottle, but I witnessed another guest receive one for free. Not sure what happened. Also had some communication issues regarding laundry that I had done with the hotel. Perhaps the staff is overworked.. I didn’t experience the friendliness that other reviewers speak of. I do want to shout out Mou, the activities/tour coordinator! She was very friendly, and helpful in planning my activities. She helped address an issue I encountered with my tour very promptly and efficiently. Thank you Mou! Also thank you to the security guards who helped me call tricycles! I wouldn’t stay here again, nor would I recommend anyone to stay here. Suggestions: I think communication needs to be improved. If a staff member is busy, it is OK for them to let the guest know that it will be a moment. Would also recommend addressing the mold smell in room 320.

Chúng tôi đã báo với lễ tân đêm hôm trước rằng chúng tôi sẽ rời đi riêng: tôi lúc 6 giờ sáng bằng xe đưa đón riêng đến bến phà, và chồng tôi lúc 8 giờ sáng bằng xe đưa đón riêng đến sân bay. Chúng tôi đã thanh toán tất cả các chi phí phát sinh trong suốt năm ngày lưu trú để không phải vội vàng vào buổi sáng. Vì vậy, tôi đến quầy lễ tân, chào tạm biệt, đợi taxi, lên xe và rời đi. Năm phút sau, chồng tôi gọi điện; anh ấy bị đánh thức và nói rằng tôi đã rời đi và quên mất anh ấy - thật là một cảnh tượng hỗn loạn! Xe đưa đón của khách sạn lẽ ra phải đón tôi lúc 8 giờ sáng nhưng lại đến lúc 9 giờ sáng, và anh ấy suýt nữa thì lỡ chuyến bay lúc 10 giờ 20 phút. Tôi cũng muốn đề cập đến đồ ăn ở khách sạn – chúng tôi rất đói. Bữa sáng chỉ có mì/cơm, rau xà lách và trái cây; mọi thứ khác đều không ăn được. Bữa tối được phục vụ theo kiểu buffet mỗi tối, nhưng giá cả thay đổi hàng ngày. Chúng tôi nghĩ nhà hàng oudine sẽ ngon hơn, nhưng chúng tôi đã ăn tối ở khách sạn hai ngày và sau đó đi ăn ở các nhà hàng trong thị trấn. Chúng tôi thực sự rất thích đồ ăn ở El Kuvo. Nếu bạn ở trong một căn phòng trên tầng trên, ban công cung cấp tầm nhìn tuyệt vời của con phố dưới – nhưng nhớ, bạn cũng sẽ nghe thấy tiếng ồn đường khá rõ ràng. Điều này làm cho khách muốn ở giữa hành động, nhưng có lẽ không phải cho những ai tìm kiếm sự yên bình và yên tĩnh. Bữa sáng được phục vụ tại một nhà hàng người Phái Lan địa phương gần đó và có những món ăn Hải sản ngon, chính thống của người Phương Thái. Giao thông internet là tuyệt vời và rất ổn định, đó là một điểm cộng lớn. Một gợi ý để cải thiện sẽ là thêm tủ lạnh trong phòng, vì điều này sẽ rất thuận tiện cho khách. Nhìn chung, tôi chắc chắn sẽ ở lại đây một lần nữa. Đó là một lựa chọn tuyệt vời cho vị trí, dịch vụ thân thiện và tiện nghi hiện đại. Bốn sao!
