As for the downsides... On the first day people kept entering my room with their keycards, and not all of them were hotel workers, which was creepy. One night some neighbours were **********. Good for them, not so good for my sleep — so the soundproofing could be better. And I also got allergic to the shower gel which never happened before.
So it really was a 50/50 experience

its make my day. Unique design and functional hotel. I love bathroom is so big and powerful rain shower. Bed is so comfortable , Amenity like shower and body lotion are good smell and soft. Overall comparison as price I am happy to stay here.

NNgười Dùng Ẩn DanhWe had a wonderful stay in Crowne Plaza Centew Retiro. Few min walk to Metro. Ginos restaurant and VIPS restaurant are opposite to the hotel and closed at midnight. The junior suite was great with a King bed and a double sofa bed which are big enough for a family of 4. The hotel provided welcome drinks and snacks in the bar. Free Illy coffee capsules and cookies in the room. The minibar in the junior suite was fully stocked and complimentary. All staff are friendly and nice. Thanks Nuria Pastor and your team for the arrangement which made our journey so special. We would definitely recommend our friends to stay here. The hotel was connected with Voco. We also booked buffet breakfast in Voco hotel with kid price EUR15 and Adult EUR 19. Great variety of food and drinks.

MMrWong888After traveling extensively in China, returning to Spain highlighted some noticeable differences, particularly in Madrid. While the city and its infrastructure may feel a bit outdated compared to other global hubs, the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá was a decent and comfortable place to stay.
The hotel’s location is its strongest feature—it’s directly across from Chamartín Train Station and its adjacent subway station. While the train station and subway facilities are not the most modern or impressive, the convenience of being so close to transportation hubs is a definite plus. The street leading to the hotel is a bit unusual, set on a slope, but it’s manageable.
The room was clean and functional, though slightly dated. The beds were comfortable, albeit with older spring mattresses that could use an upgrade. Despite the slightly worn feel, the room provided a comfortable space to rest after a day of exploring or work.
The standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly the breakfast. It was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to different tastes. It was easily the highlight of my stay and set a great tone for the day.
The service was also pleasant and friendly, which is a nice touch, especially given the sometimes lackluster service standards in Spain. The staff were helpful and made the stay more enjoyable.
Overall, while the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá may not be the most modern or luxurious option, it offers good value for its location, a comfortable stay, and an exceptional breakfast. If you’re looking for a convenient and reliable place to stay near Chamartín Station, this hotel is a solid choice.

Tuy nhiên, vẫn có một số khu vực cần cải thiện. Phòng không có dép đi trong nhà, hơi bất tiện. Bản thân phòng hơi nhỏ và cửa kính của phòng tắm cách âm kém, khiến việc sử dụng phòng tắm hơi bất tiện. Ngoài ra, cả phòng tắm và phòng tắm vòi sen đều có đèn cảm biến chuyển động, có thể bất tiện khi sử dụng. Không có đèn nào có thể khóa được và cửa phòng tắm không đóng hoàn toàn, điều này có thể là vấn đề đối với một số khách.

• The air conditioning did not have heating, but the blanket was thick enough to keep warm; the temperature that night was around 13°C.
• The room was very spacious—enough to fully open two large suitcases on the floor with plenty of space left to walk around.
• The bathroom included a hairdryer.
• The shower drain seemed slightly clogged, causing slow drainage; we had to keep the water pressure low while showering.
• No drinking water was provided in the room, but the front desk informed us that the tap water from the bathroom sink is safe to drink.
• There was no kettle in the room, but you can request hot water from the front desk—they kindly provided it from the cafeteria free of charge.
• Although the hotel is not located right in the tourist center and isn’t within short walking distance to major attractions, it has excellent transport links: there are both a bus stop and a metro station right outside and around the corner.
• It’s very convenient whether you’re arriving from Atocha Station or heading to key destinations like Madrid Royal Palace, Moncloa Bus Terminal (for Segovia express), Plaza Eliptica (for Toledo express), or Estacion de Autobuses Madrid Sur (for Porto overnight bus).
• The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On the day of check-out, we left our luggage there for free while we visited Toledo. When we returned around 6:00 PM, they even provided hot water for our instant noodles. We rested in the cafeteria for a few hours before heading to catch our overnight bus to Porto.
• Their assistance made our trip much smoother and more comfortable.
