TTài khoản kháchMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

TTài khoản khách環境：環境很好，門口就是草坪和稻田，還有吸引我此次前來的交叉小徑。周邊四面環山，空氣清新，趕上這兩天又很涼爽不曬，就是想看的綠油油的稻田都已經成熟收割完畢，有點遺憾。
服務：不管是前台的小姐姐還是餐廳阿姨，服務都很到位，停車引導、行李幫拿、就餐詢問、房間介紹還有茶點安排都很周到。
設施：給我們升級到了一樓帶庭院的房間，總體感覺房間小了點，略微缺少可以隨手放置物品的地方，白色的裝修很舒服耐看。

PPani_LenaA cosy hotel with attentive and friendly staff. I chose a room without the smell of tobacco, and it truly was odour-free. The location is quiet, and breakfast is served at the table in the dining area. The only downside to my stay was the behaviour of some inconsiderate guests who arrived around midnight, shouting at each other and watching television for about 2-3 hours. I reported this to reception, but it seems the staff were already asleep and unable to address the issue promptly.

TTài khoản kháchSuch a fantastic place to stay in this magical village… we felt extremely welcomed since our arrival, the room was so tidy and comfy with all the amenities you could wish for. The breakfast was delicious with attention to all the details including making their own soy milk. We also had dinner there on our last night and the food was nothing short of a fancy restaurant but with the care of a homemade meal. I will never forget my time here… the village is also one of the most magical places I had the chance to visit. The staff helped us get a taxi to our next destination, they were really nice people and we wish to visit them again someday. Thank you!

TTài khoản kháchThe service was great and the family was very kind. The garden, rooms and buildings were beautiful and very charming. The B&B dog was very cute and well behaved. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to explore the B&B and pet the dog as much as we wanted, since we spend most time at the nearby attractions! Both lunch, dinner and breakfast was great and the menu seemed to include a lot of delicious traditional Anhui cuisine. We had the stinky fish and braised chicken for dinner and it was absolutely amazing and interesting to try a different Chinese kitchen. We had a great stay and we would definitely recommend staying here!

However, a little disappointed by the overall quality which is below my experience when compared to staying at other banyan tree properties. Little things like the clearness, maintenance of the property where paints are peeling etc. the most obvious is poor choice and quality of the breakfast .

TTài khoản kháchWe had a wonderful stay at the Valley of Zen and would highly recommend to anyone considering staying in the area. Vera-Lee and the manager were very welcoming and nothing was too difficult for them, we are very grateful for the warm reception. Location is just outside of the hustle and bustle of the village in a very peaceful location and hotel provided convenient shuttle to go into the village. It’s also convenient for Huangshan. Sound bowl experience is also a must - very relaxing. Highly recommend!
