My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

Chủ nhà và gia đình đều rất thân thiện. Homestay này nằm ở khu vực Nguyệt Chiếu. Phong cảnh đẹp nhất nằm n*** bên ngoài cửa. Ngôi nhà yên tĩnh giữa lòng thành phố nhộn nhịp. Đây là một tòa nhà rất cũ đã được cải tạo lại. Rất thích hợp để chụp ảnh và không có đám đông. Có một cửa hàng nhỏ bên cạnh homestay, cũng do chủ nhà làm chủ. Bạn có thể ghé qua đó để mua những món quà nhỏ như tủ lạnh. Hình 3 là quang cảnh bên ngoài homestay. Hình 4 là tòa nhà cổ nhìn từ cửa sổ phòng. Hình 1 là ngoại thất của homestay. Trải nghiệm thật tuyệt vời.

Owners are very kind , friendly and helpful 😍. I booked villa for our family and the house is quite big (3bedrooms). The attic room super warm ( -4 when I visited ) but very dirty under the bed. The location is near to the gate. At the owner house has 2cat(mimi1 and mimi2) and 1dog(xiaobai). Owner help us to booked the car to Huangshan. (if you want to book the car for pick up from airport or train station please contact hotel directly the price will be cheaper than transport service at there ALOT!!!) Thank you for warming us like a family 🥰.

來到宏村，路過木畫説，被院中精緻吸引，火紅的山茶花掛滿枝頭，精巧的徽派樓台亭閣，溪水潺潺，禪茶軟榻。決定停下腳步，留在這裏享受一下慢慢遊的樂趣。進得房間，推窗既望到月沼，地理位置優越。民宿裏掌櫃的小帥哥很熱情真誠，服務意識到位，又不過分攬客推銷，另一位美女是四川妹妹，燒菜很好，正在籌建美食廚房，轉天中午給我們包了薺菜餛飩，味道很地道，清香可口，讓幾日旅途負重的胃口得以修整空

Nhà nghỉ nằm trong khu thắng cảnh Hồng Xuân. Rất thuận tiện để đến các điểm tham quan và nhà hàng. Bạn có thể tản bộ thư giãn sau bữa tối. Nhà nghỉ mang đậm phong cách ”Thiền” nếu bạn chọn nhà nghỉ thứ hai có tên ”Tân Đăng 心灯”. Phòng rộng rãi và sạch sẽ. Ở đây cũng có sẵn trà Trung Hoa thơm ngon để thưởng thức. Chủ nhà nghỉ cũng rất nhiệt tình trong việc sắp xếp phương tiện di chuyển đến nhà nghỉ và đến các điểm đến khác. Tuy nhiên, việc liên lạc với người điều hành qua Wechat, một ứng dụng địa phương, sẽ dễ dàng hơn nhiều. Hãy sử dụng Wechat để gọi điện đặt phương tiện di chuyển cho bất kỳ mục đích nào. Zhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others! Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you. The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests. Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water. The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

In general a nice relaxing stay. Good location to explore Hongcun and ancient towns. However, a little disappointed by the overall quality which is below my experience when compared to staying at other banyan tree properties. Little things like the clearness, maintenance of the property where paints are peeling etc. the most obvious is poor choice and quality of the breakfast .
