The only good thing is the location and the breakfast. As you can see from my other reviews on here, I have stayed extensively in many Bali hotels and can compare properties in the same price and service range. This has been the worst experience in a very long time. Upon checking in I had the impression that the villa clearly was not ready and not checked by housekeeping for guests. Toilet was not flushing, internet not working. Two light bulbs had to be replaced. Safe was closed. This was taken care of after complaint. The other things mentioned to management like broken window blind and broken telephone have never been adjusted. General impression: Very dirty and run down. Even though housekeeping staff came to clean with up to 5 staff members sometimes, they never managed to clean everything. Toilet paper was never restocked. Bath foam was empty all seven days, even though daily indicated for change. Towels not exchanged. Leaves from tree that fell into the swimming pool were never removed. I picked them up myself and put them on the ground for removal but they were never taken. The pile grew bigger every day and started rotting, There are also no "do not disturb" signs, so HK comes whenever they want and wake you up because they don´t know when you are out. Foul smell of mold in the bathroom and the tab water smelled of sulfur. Not even good to brush your teeth. Inside the toilet, fould smell. Kitchen absolutely disgusting. It is outside and not maintained so all the cutlery is corroding, there is dirt (maybe from mice) everywhere, even inside the fridge and on the plates. Ant colonies moving along and I also spotted a cockroach. Inside the room, there are the mini lizards (normal in Bali) and also a frog was jumping out of the bin one evening. Not many mosquitos, which was a nice surprise. To market this property as a 4-5 star luxury hotel is definitely not correct in today´s environment. But the worst thing is my experience with management prior to check in and while staying on the property for seven nights.: The hotel website and *********** description at the time of making the booking promised free round trip transportation to hotel. This was not honored and for weeks I went back and forth with an unknown person at Amasya and *********** to make things right. However, they did not want to stand by their word. I have asked multiple times to correspond directly with the manager Robby Guntur, but the person talking to me online (never revealed a name) refused to get me in touch! Also, while at the resort, Mr Guntur never made himself available. I had the impression, he was hiding instead of taking the approach of managing while walking around. The male reception staff was rightout rude and their English limited. The only friendly and competent staff were a lady at reception onn morning duty and the sales manager.
