Overall stay was ok, the service was not bad as we had issues with the aircon and the staff tried to help but at the end could not solve it. He gave us another room but the issue persists. It was really hot the whole night but the room and toilet was clean. The room is not that big but just good for one night stay, super near Gare du Nord.

This guesthouse is located between Vic and Hofn, and it is very close to Ice lagoon. The location is good and the scene is nice. The room is very tiny but with bathroom inside. No refrigerator and the facility is very basic. There is a heater in the bathroom, you can dry your clothes. Overall, if no good choice to stay at Hofn, it is Ok.

The good: - Breakfast was very good! - Room and bed was warm. - hot water shower works almost instantly. - Netflix and Amazon Prime available on the TV. Can be improved: - toilet slide door emited loud screeching sound which was annoying. - poor sound isolation between floors, we stayed on the ground floor and we could hear stomping the whole night. We feedback this to the hotel staff but was just given a “I cannot do anything about it” face and a shoulder shrug which clearly indicated they did not have the intention to do anything about it. - phone in the room was not working, staff had to reboot it as they said it’s a common issue. - the air vent in the bathroom stopped moving after sometime, was told to turn it off and on again to make it work again. - we checked in the same time as another couple at the reception, we overheard that they got a complementary room upgrade from the standard room (same as us). We asked if we would be upgraded as well, staff just told us that it depends on the amount we paid for the room. But clearly we booked the same standard room? Overall: Room rate was on the high side and much was expected but the condition of the room and service were under delivered.

TTài khoản kháchThe hotel was in a good location, and breakfast was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we booked this place to use the hot tubs and when we arrived they weren’t filled. I called reception twice to have someone check out the issue but nobody ever came. It was really unfortunate since we had gotten caught in the wind and rain so our bones felt frozen. I decided to have a bath instead but the tub couldn’t hold water haha it was a series of unfortunate events.

The location is right at skogafoss which is really convenient, though the view of the room facing the fall cannot really see the waterfall.

AAnonymous Solo TravelerPretty nice and extremely kind reception people. I love them. As usual like other hotels in Iceland, you should take a ride to get here. The hotel room was big enough and there were 3 beds in the room although I'm staying by myself. I love the way how the room is formed. I had two doors, one led me to the yard side and the other one faced the other rooms as well as the reception. IDK this is the general rule but the shower pressure was horrible. It took more than 30 minutes to take a shower. Speaking of the Hot tub, it was pretty small and adorable. But if you have plans to visit either Blue Lagoon or Secret Lagoon, You'd better skip this Hot tub.

LLet anWe stayed in this cabin for a one night and were very impressed by how comfortable and well equipped it was. The kitchenette had a microwave and a kettle to prepare simple meals, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The floor heating created a cozy atmosphere, especially in the mornings. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the sea, where the fresh air and views are breathtaking. One of the highlights was the many sheep grazing nearby, which gave the area a peaceful, countryside charm. It’s an ideal place to relax and recharge, highly recommended! No WiFi in the cabin available but in the lounge in the building nearby
