The hostel was great and worth the stay for different reasons:
1. Amazing location with big lake, near public transportation
2. Friendly and helpful staff, you can borrow hair dryer at the reception. You can keep your bag in locker room also, bring £1 coin or ask lovely staff for tap to pay.
3. Huge shared kitchen with lots of cooking essentials which can be used to cook nearly everything you can.
4. Clean and well maintained room.
Can’t ask for more with this price.

Stayed here with daughter for the start of the Cumbria Way walk. Arrived by train and it's literally right outside the train station entrance.top marks for location
Twin room. Large bathroom with bath. Some may say room is dated. For price excellent .
Weatherspoons for food around the corner - less than a 10 mi s walk
Friendly staff filled our water bottles before we set off for our walk.
All in all met all our requirements.
Also for information it's dog friendly too.
For £50 for night (deal if booked train ticket through trip.com got discount on Hotels.

We stayed in Carlisle for a couple of nights. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the station and close to the city centre. There were a lot of pubs and restaurants close by which was convenient. The hotel was clean and comfortable.

the hostel provided all the amenities to make our stay comfortable - from a self-catering kitchen to laundry machines. The location was also near to the Grasmere village.

早餐很好吃，周邊環境不錯，交通便利。美中不足是房間的暖氣時有時無，而且酒店與訂房平台有訊息差：我們選擇了平台給出的建議方案——三晚訂購兩種不同的房型（第一二天a房，第三天b房），酒店卻説我們衹訂購了一種（價格較低的），如果不是我們堅持要問清楚，他們似乎想忽略差價讓我們連續三晚都住在同一間房。最後解決了問題，但還是讓人覺得有點不愉快。

Pets Accepted - 15 GBP Charge Per Pet Per Stay. Maximum 3 pets per room. This Hotel is located off the Southbound carriage way of the M6 Motorway just after Junction 37 of the M6. Please do not rely on directions via satellite navigation using the post code call hotel directly for assistance. We are in touch with the providers and hope to resolve the problem soon. If heading North on the M6 please exit at Junction 37 and take the south bound carriageway. The exit for the hotel and the services is only a few minutes from the junction.

TTài khoản kháchRum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself.
We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area.
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too.
We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful.
After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks.
We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

TTài khoản kháchI have grave misgivings about hotels in the busiest parts of the Lake District, especially at holiday times. Obviously they will be relentlessly overcrowded, with harassed and unfriendly staff. I’ve wanted to go back to the Proper Lake District for a while though so took a risk on the King’s Head. It’s easy to find on the ear popping main road up from Grasmere, just beyond the impressive hulk of Steel Fell, close to Thirlemere. Parking anywhere in the Lakes is hideous and expensive. Not here. Relaxed and plenty of room. It’s a long building with a pleasant bar restaurant area and beer garden. I found a rather pleasant residents lounge where a lady called Jo checked me in and made me feel welcome. It does get busy with passing trade but the staff look after their residents. They flogged me decent real ale and Jura whisky (the proper stuff). Breakfast is briskly table served from a menu and is well presented. I didn’t eat otherwise there but the food is popular and well priced. The road outside is busy and a bit of a racetrack, and the occasional fighter jet roars between the mountains on low altitude practice, but the relentless bleating of the sheep opposite soon returns things to normal. I was a little sorry to depart, but the manager said he hoped I would come again. I believe I will, and will even bring my wife.

TTài khoản khách£200 for a basic room for one night was a bit on the pricey side for me, however it was nice all the same. A few of the photos of the basic room are misleading. The photos show a four post double bed which is not the case. We found out later this is actually an executive room despite it being labeled basic.
We found out that the hotel location is accessible by bus from Oxenholme train station (despite being told the opposite) and has a great view of beautiful fields. Food in the hotel is good but expensive... My eyes nearly popped out their sockets when I saw the £8.00 charge just for the tiniest amount of table bread. I'd say this was probably the reason the restaurant was empty despite being told we need to book a table due to its popularity. Swimming pool and steam room are average for the price.
Staff are friendly and changed our room to a double bed room free of charge after mistakenly putting us in a twin bedroom.

Rrockylee1、酒店位置很好，走路去遊船碼頭也就10分鐘之內，附近餐廳非常多，食宿都很方便。房間很大，還有一個客廳，出乎意料，但客廳一側在床邊，旁邊就是街道，早晚有些吵，特別是英國車速一般都比較快，要略注意。早餐是提前準備的麪包酸奶麥片牛奶之類，有的在冰箱裏，有的在儲物櫃裏，不要有太大期待。
2、自駕過來的話，和前台要一張停車卡，每天3英鎊，無限停車，有好幾個位置可以停車，其實很方便。離開的時候，可以先去停車場開車，回來的時候把鑰匙和停車卡放前台就可以。

Là một vị trí lý tưởng, cách phố cao ở làng đi bộ rất ngắn, bên kia đường của bến tàu với tầm nhìn ra hồ rất đẹp, nhưng nằm ở đủ cao cách xa ồn ào đường nào. Và vì đó là một khách sạn phù hợp nên phòng chúng tôi đặt đủ rộng, và thậm chí có một phòng tắm. Có đủ bãi đậu xe, một bữa sáng tự chọn đầy đủ tiếng Anh xinh xắn, và một quầy bar và nhà hàng sang trọng tại Nhược điểm duy nhất là thang máy bị hỏng nên chúng tôi phải leo lên tầng cao nhất nhiều lần một ngày, và xây dựng được diễn ra tại sân, nhưng điều đó yên tĩnh cho chúng tôi vì phòng của chúng tôi ở bên kia của tòa nhà. Nếu bạn đến đó vào mùa hè chết thì không có AC. (Chỉ là một lời lên trong trường hợp bạn từ quốc gia và đã quen tất cả các phòng khách sạn) Hiện tại không có bể bơi hay bồn tắm nước nóng lúc đó số lấy cái này.
Chắc chắn tôi sẽ cân nhắc ở lại đây một lần nữa và sẽ giới thiệu nó cho bạn bè của tôi.👍🏼

TTài khoản kháchI arrived on a stormy night in the lake district - on entering the hotel I was met with a warm glow from the log fire and a very warm welcome from the receptionist.
As the hotel dining room was about to close, a room was sorted and the kitchen kept open for an evening meal - a delicious melt in the mouth steak was a pleasure after a 6 hour
drive from the south of england, washed down with a welcome glass of Shiraz.
The bed was very comfortable, the room had a large bath and separate shower cubicle and copious hot water.
The decor and fittings were in sympathy with the age and history of the hotel, a pleasant change from the blandness of more modern mass market hotels.
The staff were very friendly and it was a pleasure to be assisted without having to use automated impersonal systems.
I will not hesitate to stay at the hotel again when I am next in the area.

PPriyanka BajirajThe property and the ambience is lovely. The view from the restaurant garden is very pleasant and beautiful. The room size, bathroom size and amenities were good. We faced 1 major problem to be precise which made us a bit sore.
Cleanliness - the room was clean except for the carpet. It didn’t feel like it was vacuumed. There was probably a pet staying in that room before us and there was a lot of hair on the carpet. I understand it is a pet friendly property and I have absolutely no problem with that. But cleaning the room properly before the next checkin is a basic expectation. We couldn’t step on the floor without our feet being covered with hair.
Apart from that, everything else was very good. Breakfast was also good and the customer service was very polite and hospitable as well.
