Needed a hotel for the night before flying out of Dublin. This hotel fit perfectly. Staff was excellent, room was clean and spacious enough, grounds were also clean and orderly. Hotel attached to lobby with good food albeit on the more expensive side, but that’s to be expected. The hotel has a shuttle to and from the airport which was immensely useful and saved on additional fare costs. The shuttle was later than the posted bus schedule, but arrived soon enough after our flight and did not have to wait to long. Shuttle also drops you off right at your terminal to make next day travel easier. Overall a fantastic short stay. Only thing of note would be that the WiFi, while good and complimentary to the room, would constantly drop and have to be reconnected too, but aside from that, greatly enjoyed my stay here.

Great Location. Room is a bit small and can also be cleaner. Hotel staff is able to locate the shirts that I forgot in the room however, hotel staff is not able to send the shirts back to me even as I was willing to pay. I had to arrange my own courier service to pick them up. Surprised that Hilton cannot provide this service.

As my reason to stay was the proximity to the airport, the hotel exceeded my expectations as the room was small but comfy, they have a restaurant for dinner and breakfast attached to the hotel and in minutes I could get a taxi to the airport. Great value for money.

Very near to airport. Choose this hotel because of the early shuttle service which gives me ease of mind. The hotel staff immediately arranged a taxi for us free on the house when the shuttle bus did not arrive on time. Very good service!

Cleaners came once a day but i found the guests to be dirty. Due to the shower layout the floor of the bathroom was always dirty. Some interesting characters as they don’t require ID or have a front desk. Free wifi and breakfast which is nice. The bed itself is good and has curtains but the room is bright even with lights off and noise travels.

After had ling trip in ireland, it good to stay in this hotel begore take flght back to home, there is tub bath to soak your body from trie, a park in front of hotel to walk and relax ,threre is ice machine and filller water machine .at last complimentary shuttle bus to airport.

Really happy with this hotel. Booked it last minute when I was late for my ferry and did not want to travel during the night.
The room was really clean and tidy. Receptionist Mauricio (?) was very pleasant and helpful. As I was not planning to stay in Dublin overnight, I had no toothbrush. I did not think that Travelodge can provide one, but there is no shame in asking. Hooray! I got a disposable dental kit, that really made my stay much more comfortable.
The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, it does look much more posh that an average travelodge. I wanted some ice for my drink at the room. Got a glass full of ice at the bar with no problem.
The only downside could be if you are a couple and travelling with 2 or more large suitcases. The room is on a smaller side.
Very happy with my last minute decision to stay at this hotel.

TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked.
Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre.
Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well.
Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home.
The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want.
Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!

TTài khoản kháchThe Bonnington is usually my go to hotel in dublin, however the stay before this and now this stay has made me look for somewhere else in future. The staff as always were exceptional, however our room was incorrectly rang my reception at 5am, (and on a previous stay we were awoken in the middle of the night by a false fire alarm, so a full nights sleep is not a guarantee).
What was the most frustrating is the general disrepair of the hotel. The rooms are fairly small so for the higher price point you are really paying for the facilities. The smaller issues like furniture being old and leather chairs peeling and flaking were not a big problem, just a mild annoyance. However the bath/shower leaking everywhere when used from the base of the tub and leaving the floor soaking wet, the steam room being out of order and us not being informed of this when or even after booking, and the crowdedness and of the pool and other facilities because of non hotel users with memberships to the leisure clubs taking up the whole hot tub and sauna at once in personal groups was frustrating.
The room was also extremely hot, and the AC very very loud while not actually doing much to cool the room. There was nothing particularly stay ruining about it however if you’re paying over 200 euro for one night somewhere you would expect things to be at least average.
The main redemption was the friendliness and kindness of the staff.

TTài khoản kháchThe hotel is beautiful and steeped in history. Breakfast was very nice and location is convenient for the airport. My only issue was we stayed in room 003 and in the morning about 4am delivery trucks starting driving back and forth down the side alley which actually woke us up as the window was open. One of the trucks even decided to back up down the alley with a constant beep beep beep which was really annoying. I'm not sure why he just didn't turn around but clearly he chose not to. The other small issue was the shower took forever to drain but this is an easy fix which the hotel said they would look after. Other than that, the stay was wonderful.

TT___HNo one reply my in-app message so I have to call. And it’s weird that the receptionist is not clear about my Gold membership benefits such as late checkout and free breakfast but what I find the most disrespectful is that the receptionist has to ask the duty manager for my requests yet the manager was just chatting with other staff and she never smile at me whenever I pass by and look at her. I’d love to stay again but the reception should be trained properly again.
