The room was small for a family room, and we were unable to make the air conditioning unit work well, thus my children had problems to sleep. However, the staff were very helpful, and I recommend the hotel because of the staff and the location, with nice restaurants nearby. I recommend to the hotel the installation of slow car charging stations in the parking, as it would create a new source of revenue

The Hyatt is the best Hotel in LanZhou. Not only because of zero distance to the yellow river, but guest services.  Because the guest room was not available, and we needed to visit provincial museums first, I’ve got guidance for luggage storage, provided local cuisine, tourist places, and reserved us a higher floor Guest room. Then we enjoyed our provincial museum, delicious local food, then we enjoyed the gorgeous view of lunch and the yellow river from the guestroom. I would definitely choose Hyatt again. And I appreciate Rita who provided very warm professional help for us! By the way, the breakfasts are very enjoyable with local special offers.

The staff and owner were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The owner, a talented artist, treated us like family, sharing his local and cultural knowledge over cups of delicious tea. We loved the spacious and beautifully decorated rooms, perfect for relaxation. The hotel had cozy spots inside and outside to soak up the sun while enjoying a good book. The hot pot dinner was mouthwatering and warmed us up on chilly nights. With its convenient location, we easily explored Jiayuguan Pass and the Great Wall. This hotel's hospitality was top-notch, and we can't wait to go back. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay!

JJessica MellicaUnfortunately my experience wasn't good. Hot water didn't work, it was only warm. I did it in the afternoon anyway but ny boyfriend waited untill 11pm. Elettronic key of our room never worked. We always had to call someone to open our room. About water problem they said there was an issue in all the hotel and they can fix it the next morning. We could not find a standard queen bed room, they have queen room just very expensive and for cheaper price they have only twin rooms. We paied a full amount for the night we staied but we didn't have full 100% service we should receive from the booking. They suggest us a refund to change hotel but it was so late and we are travelling with bicycles, after a ride of 150km we were too tired to move in another location during the dark at 10pm. We just needed a hot shower and a bed to sleep. Finally we received a 100 cny caution back, and the next morning ladies at reception gave us 6 small bottle of water to apologize. I'm really upset about nobody advise us about water issue during check in, so there was still time to move in another accomodation, especially for elettronic key, I can't understand why it's never worked. Be carefull for next booking about rooms at 5th level. I don't know if it's a problem only for foreign people or for everyone. Room price list are very expensive so, I think they have not a bad service. Unfortunately it's the first time during my 32 years happened this, especially during my 27 days in China, all the issue where always well reserved. This time my experience was really stressful, I don't feel like to recommended it and I hope never happen again to other travelers. Thank you anyway.

To my great surprise, the staff had patiently waited for me despite the ungodly hour. Everything was prepared, and the check-in proceeded smoothly and professionally, without any trace of impatience or reluctance. This attentiveness and consideration from the very first contact set the tone for my entire stay. The room far exceeded my expectations. Not only was it exceptionally comfortable, but it also offered that rare standard where price and quality stand in a remarkable relationship to one another. The cleanliness was impeccable, the furnishings tasteful and thoughtfully arranged – one could sense genuine care in every detail. The breakfast deserves special mention: an abundant selection offered both traditional Chinese dishes and European options for Western palates. The quality of the food was consistently high, freshly prepared and lovingly presented. It was evident that international guests' needs are genuinely considered here, without sacrificing local authenticity. What truly distinguishes this hotel, however, is its staff. The friendliness and attentiveness with which one is received and cared for goes far beyond the usual service level. This is the kind of hospitality that doesn't feel forced, but springs from genuine warmth. For anyone visiting Dunhuang – whether following in the footsteps of the Silk Road or exploring the breathtaking Mogao Grottoes – I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It not only provides an excellent base for exploration, but becomes itself a positive part of the travel experience.
