"Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out."

"Với mức giá tôi đã trả, tôi cho rằng khách sạn này hoàn toàn xứng đáng. Có rất nhiều nhà hàng và tiệm massage xung quanh khách sạn. Khả năng cách âm không phải là tốt nhất nhưng điều đó không ảnh hưởng nhiều đến tôi. Hai điều tôi mong muốn là gối cứng hơn và có dịch vụ giặt ủi tự phục vụ. Ngoài ra, tôi rất hài lòng với kỳ nghỉ của mình."

"Đối với khách sạn bình dân, tôi cho rằng khách sạn này rất tốt cho loại hình này. Trên cả sự mong đợi của tôi. Phòng & nhà vệ sinh rất sạch sẽ. Kuddos để dọn dẹp đội. Chúng tôi ở tầng 6. Với mức giá RM88 (đã bao gồm thuế), chúng tôi có nhu cầu cơ bản tốt với tư cách là khách du lịch (2 chai nước uống, 1 syampoo, 2 cục xà phòng, túi vệ sinh, cuộn giấy vệ sinh). Khăn tắm được cung cấp trong phòng. Các phòng hơi nhỏ nhưng vẫn ổn, vẫn thoải mái."

"Clean hotel with clean room. Good hairdryer, dries hair quickly. Good tv and comfortable bed. Many eateries all around the hotel vicinity, there’s also a laundry shop near the hotel. Massage shops also just next door. Easy check in and check out. Eco hotel because the toiletries are in permanent bottles so zero waste on toiletries that way. Toothbrush and coffee available at the reception to take if needed. There’s lift at hotel for easy floors access. However the toilet is really very small and the arrangement of toilet bowl and sink is quite uncomfortable, too tight a space. Also the shower head angle is very bad and difficult to adjust. Bad toilet experience due to the layout of toilet and facilities. Other than that, it’s quite a nice stay"

"We booked the Deluxe King Plus. The bed was huge at 2.1m, and the oversized pillows were big enough for two kids and both parents. On top of that, it also had a sofa bed for two people, which is fine for kids, but adults probably would not sleep very well on it. The soundproofing was superb, and NSK Supermarket was just within walking distance. We tried the Kanteen breakfast food, and the tom yum bee hoon is a must-try. We also loved BookXcess and went back every day. They had a promotion: buy 4 books and get 1 free, with the free one being the cheapest. Book price are relatively cheaper(alot of olden books. Location-wise, it is near Tuas, so you can take Grab, but it is not the most convenient. Overall, 9/10. Will come back again"
