We had such fun, Ana Maria was our chef for the day, her sense of humour soon had everyone laughing and cooking. Really super experience, a great thing to do while in Sorrento. Making authentic Italian food with products from the garden - delicious

This place is absolutely terrible it is in a terrible location and although we booked a private transfer we were dumped at the bottom of the hill because the car could not get up it. My partner had to walk for 20 minutes to get to the hotel and then finally someone came down to retrieve me and our suitcases not a good start to what was a break to celebrate the finish of my cancer treatment. Once inside it was run down and shabby got into the room and it was tiny and smelt like sewage in the bathroom that was the start of a terrible stay. Got up the next day and considering this is meant to be a cooking school the breakfast was the worst I have ever encountered cold coffee scrambled eggs that had gone grey because they had sat their for so long hard pastries and cake’s absolutely disgusting. We thought ah well we will make the best of it . They provide a shuttle service and you are at their mercy to get anywhere their and have to book to get into Sorrento so off we went booked the transport back for nine that evening received a text saying they were going to be 10 minutes late that turned into 40 minutes. Got back and the Sunflower room we were staying in was opposite another villa the kids opposite were screaming until 1.30 in the morning and dogs were barking constantly all night I couldn’t sleep it was that bad this happened every night of our stay. We got up to go into Sorrento the maid knocked at 9.30 told her we would be 10 minutes got back that night she hadn’t even been in. Honestly I could go on if you have mobility problems and like a nice clean place to stay don’t bother the owners are rude and they make you feel like you are doing them a favour. I can honestly say I have been all over the world and this is the absolute worst upon worst place we have ever stayed. It was expensive so we will be taking this up with love holidays who we booked it through steer well clear of this place it’s an absolute joke and a disgrace as we were packing we left a bottle of gin and a few drinks we had bought for the fridge this was an absolute corker went out to Sorrento came back to retrieve our luggage and went to get some water in the bar and guess what the bottle of gin was in the bar ready to sell goodness me these people have no shame. If you want to be in the middle of nowhere with a sewage smelling room with kids screaming all night and dogs barking and food that is inedible then go ahead if not book somewhere else what should have been a relaxing experience for me celebrating the end of my treatment was hell sadly we nicknamed it the Bates Motel worst worst hotel and location ever. One positive Sorrento was beautiful but please do not stay here.

My husband & I visited Villa Pane for a cooking class on our honeymoon. Villa Pane is a family run & owned farm & bed & breakfast, & you are treated exactly like family for the ENTIRE experience. We were picked up from our hotel by Luigi & then given a private tour of the grounds & garden before being introduced to our chef for the night, a different Luigi! We were greeted with several refreshments & snacks to sample & also given a copy to take home of all the recipes we made. We had the best time making homemade pasta & listening to music while drinking wine. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time, & the owner AnnaMaria gave us a tour of the family kitchen while we waited for our food to cook. Afterwards, we got to eat our meal while watching the sunset over the ocean, the most spectacular view you could ever dream of.

Stayed in Villa Pane for 4 nights and it did not disappoint! It is a stunning resort with amazing views over Sorrento. The owners are so friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to help us organise trips etc. The shuttle service provided is a fantastic service for getting to and from the centre of Sorrento.

Villa Pane is a beautiful oasis on a stunning family farm... but it is not a hotel. If you are looking for a beautiful place to sit back and relax, this is the place. Luigi is fantastic. Warm and welcoming. Our travel agent booked us here and we were looking forward to it, but once we arrived, we realized that we were very far away from the city center. The road to get to Villa Pane is very narrow. So much so that a taxi can not reach the resort. They offer a shuttle to get you to and from town, but unfortunately you need to book your times ahead of time and they only run every 2 - 1/2 hours and the last pick up from town is 11pm. This is not the type of situation where you can see where the day takes you. You must plan. The rooms are clean and quaint. Unfortunately once we arrived, we quickly realized that it was not the ideal place for us to stay so we made other arrangements. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, it's perfect. For a couple like us who don't like to plan and who enjoy coming and going as we please, it just wasn't for us.

This was a highlight of our trip to Italy. Our family had a wonderful time learning to cook with Anna Maria and Luigi. Luigi gave us a tour of the farm. They grow all the ingredients on the farm, even make their own wine and lemonchello! Anna Maria was a fun, kind and gracious host. We enjoyed eating the fruits of our labor in the most beautiful setting. Highly recommend!

Positives Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful as long as you didn’t ask for anything out of the ordinary Very peaceful surroundings Negatives To remote, you have to rely on the hotel shuttle schedule to get around and into Sorrento town. Breakfast offering was poor and the coffee smelt of fish. No menu/prices, when we asked we were told the chef will tell you what they have. so when paying for 1 meal and 4 bottles of water at checkout we were charged £128. The fish came up undercooked and was taken back to be cooked a bit more. Considering they offer cooking classes I was surprised. Salad was just a plate of lettuce. The noise from the kitchen started at 6am and ended at around 11pm. Taxis would not take you to the door of the villa as the road leading to it was steep and narrow. If something came the other way you had to reverse all the way back down like a game of snakes and ladders. Not suitable for families as there is nothing to do unless your only sleeping there

Highlight of our Italy trip! Anamaria was friendly, informative and highly entertaining. This hands on cooking class was so much fun and it resulted in the best food we have eaten during our 2 week stay in Italy. I can't recommend this enough. Well worth the money.

Great experience. The staff (including the puppy) are very friendly and we felt like we were at home the entire time. View from the property are outstanding. We liked it because it's tucked away from all of the hustle and bustle but still within a very short distance of everything. The free shuttle service is extremely convenient. The breakfast was great every morning. Homemade products served fresh and you can taste the difference. We loved our time here and wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

My sister booked the cooking class knowing my husband would really enjoy it so nice he loves to cook, it was the highlight of his first time in Italy. We meet with Anna Maria the owner of this beautiful place and chef Giovanni, we made gnocchis , potato croquettes, bracciole everything grown on the farm . We had a great time , learned a lot about cooking and the area , took a tour of the farm , finished dinner with homemade limoncello and wine. Both AnaMaria and Giovanni were so friendly felt like we were having dinner with family. I highly recommend taking a cooking class or staying at the resort .

Had a short trip at the end of May with my 21 year old Daughter. Luckily for us we took the weather with us so despite the continual rainfall Italy had been experiencing we had wall to wall sunshine with mid 20 temperatures. We had organised collection from the Airport through Villa Pane both there and back which was seemless and took the stress out. Getting to Villa Pane from the drop off point is most entertaining and the road is very narrow but expertly driven. The courtesy drop off and collections to Sorrento are very well organised and most useful. Villa Pane was very traditional and just what I expected. The hosts were always around and helpful. Our room was quite basic but we were only sleeping there and sadly we did not get one of rooms with a spectacular view but this did not spoil our trip. We would have liked to do the cooking class which was very popular but our Euros did not stretch this far. We were however treated to a wonderful lunch of freshly prepared Ravioli and Fettuccini by our host before we departed and it was exactly what I had hoped for. Guido, the 4-legged friend was a joy and always happy to see a friendly human. We used the garden and hot tub the day of our departure which was lovely and the grounds were well maintained. Views are spectacular. Villa Pane is a lovely, family run home and I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

My mother, sister, nephew and I, went to a cooking class at Villa Pane. It was magnificent!!!!!! This experience included pick up/drop off at our hotel in Sorento. The ride alone was a cool experience (have you seen the side streets in Sorento?). When we arrived at the beautiful home, we were greeted by their friendly dog and immediately felt the warmth of “home.” We began preparing our 5 course meal which consisted of antipasto, caprese, eggplant Parmesan, ricotta cheese (from scratch) to fill out from scratch Ravioli, chicken cacciatore, and last lava chocolate cake! We assisted with it all, my nephew helped pick fresh herbs from the garden. Anna Maria and Luggi were welcoming and so much fun! We enjoyed local wine and even sang “That’s Amore”while kneading our dough for Ravioli. The meal was the BEST we have had since we have been in Italy, hands down!!! What made it most special was the experience and memories I will have to last a lifetime with my family. This is a MUST DO!!!!! You won’t regret it!!!!!

Our cooking class at Villa Pane was wonderful! Anna Maria is warm, friendly and makes the whole experience a joy. The gardens and orchards are beautiful and make the perfect setting for cooking. We were able to cook outside the day we were there and we had a nice breeze. The fresh food grown onsite was delicious in the recipes we prepared. Anna Maria was clear and concise which made preparing our dishes a pleasure. Next time we are in Sorrento, we will be doing this cooking class again!

The place has a difficult location to enjoy Sorrento or other cities around. It’s far from everything and the transfer isn’t friendly. Breakfast is a very sad experience, cold eggs, industrialized food, dirty dishes. The view and the nature around is amazing. The only problem is the service of unfriendly staff

Words cannot express my gratitude to Anna Maria, Gianluigi and their staff for helping to make my 60th birthday celebrations the best ever. Myself and husband James had visited Villa Pane in 2018 on the recommendation of friends and absolutely loved it. The location, the food and hospitality of the staff were superb so I knew that it would be a great place to gather together with family and friends for my milestone birthday. The planning started 2 years ago and Gianluigi made it so easy and was very accommodating. My friends and family can’t stop talking about the fabulous food, wonderful hospitality and awesome surroundings up in the hills close to Sorrento. They even laid on transport to and from Sorrento on my birthday for those few friends who had to stay elsewhere as there were so many of us wanting to stay at the Villa. This will be a memory I’ll treasure forever and a place I can’t wait to return to! Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, on holiday with family or friends, I can’t recommend Villa Pane highly enough: it has a free regular shuttle to and from Sorrento, delicious meals using ingredients from their own farm/ gardens and everything is so reasonably priced. Thank you Anna Maria, Gianluigi and staff!
