Nice location and good activities Service and room are so so They do some renovation so we have people sit in front of our door all the time. Shouldn’t sell the room that not completely done

This is the second time we've stayed at Shandrani and we don't normally go back to the same place. There are likely to be further visits in the future as well. What do we love about Shandrani, in short everything, for more detail read on! We are a family with 2 sons who were aged 15 and 17 when we visited, and the hotel was fabulous for them. I will never forget their faces the on our first stay. They looked through the lobby to the pool and sea and their mouths dropped open in shock. It is a moment that will always stay with me. The boys could safely explore, play tennis and table tennis, participate in water sports and drink copious amounts of chocolate milkshakes (trust me the blender broke whilst we were there and I swear it couldn't cope with the rate they draw them). The water sports are included and there are so many things to try. I snorkelled for several hours every day. I saw lion fish, flute fish, eels, incredibly colourful fish, fantastic shells and corals and it was the most relaxed I have felt in a long time. On our last day I snorkelled for around 10 minutes with a turtle which no one else had spotted. I was like a child at Christmas, what an incredible experience. We also used the pedaloes, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, my husband and children learnt to windsurf, glass bottom boat, snorkelling trip etc. The food is absolutely wonderful. The buffet has plenty of choice, there was only one night when there was little left, however we were much later that night. The a la carte restaurants were wonderful, we tried every one of them. We had dinner at the Italian on my birthday and the staff came out with a lovely chocolate birthday cake. I tended to be on the beach between 9 and 10 am and was one of the first there so no fight for sunbeds. We are generally more of a pool family, but the surroundings and beach at Shandrani are so beautiful that we were converted. I loved being on the beach or the balcony of our room and watching the bats, particularly around 4pm onwards. The new beach hut for drinks and towels is a nice touch, it wasn't there last time we were. The staff are incredible, particularly Ashven who checked in with us regularly whilst we lazed around the pool, he never seemed to stop smiling. I loved him surprising me with drinks when I asked him to choose for me. I was beyond shocked when he remembered all of us from our last visit 2 years previous to this one. He is an absolute credit to Shadrani. Our room was lovely with a fabulous view (like all Shadrani rooms). The area is safe and I was able to run on the local roads without feeling scared. The gym is small but has everything you need. If you want to play tennis take some tennis balls with you so you don't have to pay. I'd also take beach shoes to swim in. On the negative side, no holiday will ever live up to Shandrani for us and we can't wait to go back but given the eldest is 18 very soon it will be a lot more expensive for us!

Lovely stay! Situated close to the airport. Staff is very friendly and helpful, clean facilities. Plenty to do. Shout-out to Arwin for the delicious cocktails, our room was spotless everyday thanks to Seevaum. The food is amazing with plenty of options to choose from. There is lots to do like snorkeling, glass bottom boat (very insightful great skipper), SUP, ski, etc and all inclusive at no additional charge. Great gym, lots of equipment. So much to do, that you don't need to leave the resort. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy. Beautiful golf course with the ocean in the background. Lovely stay and worth while.

We are actually at the resort. So far we have had an awesome time. We have been welcomed so warmly by sweet Miss Shaiima from reception.Such a sweet soul. She is always smiling and ready to help. Miss Nawsheen was so helpful for our dinner booking. Her tips and advice were just what we needed. We are looking forward to our stay here. And by the way awesome location. Celebrated my 40th with 7 of my friends at the most fantastic venue. This was my first time in Mauritius, and when we come back we will certainly stay at Shandrani once again. The rooms, food, pools, beaches & especially the staff made the whole experience everything you could possibly need for a memorable vacation.

We had a wonderful time at the Shandrani from check in to check out. Such a wonderful location with the lagoon and wild beach so close together but offering such different views. Facilities were 1st class. Of note the gym (cardio) was very well equipped with very modern equipment. Food selection and quality were very good. Staff were all welcoming, friendly and helpful and made the overall environment feel very relaxed. Of note, shout out to Thierry (concierge) and Nurvin (housekeeping), who felt like old friends from the moment we met them. The grounds including par 3 golf course were extremely well kept and we enjoyed seeing and hearing the abundant wildlife. So sad to leave as this place really did make me feel very special. Just perfect for me. Wish it wasn’t a 12 hour plane journey away!! Visitors I’m sure will know when they book that the hotel is next to the airport which makes for a nice short transfer, but you do get to see and hear the planes taking off at very close quarters. Big and small. We didn’t mind this, in fact enjoyed it, but some might not agree.

We loved every second of ur stay at Shandrani beachcomber. The friendlyness and professionalism of each staff member is to be commended. A special mention to these amazing staff members that stood out and made our stay so special: Angelique, Harris and Christine from the Kids club-our kids were so safe and happy in your care, Laval from housekeeping-our room was spotless every day, Patrick our tour guide from the sports centre- we did the Mahebourg bike tour with him and highly recommend you do it, to learn more about mauritian culture and see the true beauty of the island, Isabelle who handled our check in and booked our family moon experience-brilliant service, Thierry from the sports centre gave us valuable advice on actiities, Thierry from the concierge was always there pointing us in the right direction, Andy speed boat captain-the speed boat experience was phenomenal, his knowledge of the sea is something to be admired, this was the highlight of our trip. Seeing the dolphins, snorking, seeing the monkeys and the most beautiful waterfall. We cannot wait to book to go back to Shandrani again it was a magical experience.

We were highly impressed by the caring hospitality of some staff especially Mr Ved, Mr Raphael,Mr Elaibocus,Mr Dorason,Mr Imteaz Rawa. There was some beautiful ladies on the reception which was very nice and welcoming.. Our room was perfectly clean and the mini bar was filled everyday. We were there for a weekend in all inclusive package which was very amazing. The room service was concerned as they always ask if everything good,we sincerely appreciate that..thank you The atmosphere was relaxing and calm no doubt about that.. We were disappointed about some of the waitress of the grand part resto as they seemed to be irritated and tired when we order our drinks..they were a bit rude too May be because we were too many(21 person) to be there on same time.. Otherwise we enjoy our weekend there Thank you so much I would surely recommend your holiday there for sure ❤️❤️

We stayed 7th - 21st June 2024. This was a special holiday, as we would be celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday when we were away. To make it more special, we booked the 2 bedroom family suite. When we pulled up at the hotel, we braced ourselves for the usual palaver of queuing up to check in, which after travelling for over 20 hours, we were not relishing. However, we were pleasantly surprised that we did not have to queue up, we were directed straight to comfy chairs, given a lovely welcome drink, and then were joined by a staff member who checked us in, and gave us all the relevant info. We were then taken in a buggy to our suite. We knew it would be good, but we were blown away by how fantastic the accommodation was. The suite is set over two levels and it was huge and lavish. The garden is right in front of the beach, where the suite (315), has its own dedicated beach area, with reserved loungers, and a cool box that is replenished throughout the day. Absolute luxury! The beach service staff really looked after us. Niraj was very helpful, and Krisnee always engaged well with our additional needs son. But the absolute star for us was Patrick. He made sure we wanted for nothing, and was a big part of making this trip so special. The beach was fantastic, and we actually found the sea slightly warmer than the pools. The views are phenomenal, and it really does feel like paradise. Beach shoes are a must for going in the water though. We were lucky to have a tap in the garden of the suite to rinse them off. There are quite a few beach sellers, some slightly more persistent than others, but they are just trying to earn a living. I did buy a few things (bracelets, necklaces), but you can’t buy off everyone, and so I did need to apologise and politely decline. The suite location was halfway between the main buffet restaurant, and Sirius. Sirius is much quieter, which was a big help to prevent sensory overload in our son. The staff are helpful in the main buffet, but because it’s so much bigger and busier, they can’t be as attentive there. Sirius was a completely different experience. We much preferred to go there for breakfast. The buffet is a lot smaller, so you don’t get as much choice, but it was worth it for the peaceful surroundings, and attentive staff. We tried to eat there as often as we could, and we were looked after so well. They could not do enough for us there, and special mentions go to Denis, Atish, and especially our main man, Rishti. He honestly made us feel like we were VIP’s! All the staff there were great (even though I don’t remember the names of everyone), but those three really turned it from a fab holiday into a holiday of a lifetime. Evening meals at Sirius and Ephemera were a highlight for us, and we were lucky to book quite a few dinners there. Including my husband’s 40th. I had been liaising with Adrianne from guest relations ahead of the visit to try to make it special. We planned a surprise meal on the beach,
