Very nice hotel in the heart of Thamel. Great food. Lovely staff, one of whom carried my case up to my room as there is no elevator.

The best place in town...we had a great time! Vinod was extremely hospitable and warm. The food is delicious and the mulled wine has my heart. If you want to spend a memorable evening with your loved ones and if you love a great aesthetic vibe, then this is the place for you!

This is a beautiful and quiet hotel just tucked away from the busy chaos of Tamel. Stayed in the Executive Suite and it truley did feel like a boutique room - with lots of unique touches and fantastic balcony. The attached restraunt was also really good, normally when travelling we don’t eat at the hotel in order to explore more places but it was hard to resist the laid back courtyard where we ate several delicious meals served by Binod and others. Everyone at the hotel main desk also went out of their way to help us and remembered little details about our trip to ask about which made us feel very welcome.

The hotel is great. In particular we used a taxi service everyday through the hotel to get back and forth to a ******* Monastery 30 minutes away. Our driver, Mr. Bhim was excellent to get us through crazy traffic and tight, demanding roads. All with a smile and amazing generosity.

The incessant hustle and bustle of Kathmandu (which can be overwhelming) means that when staying there it is important to find a hotel with some outdoor space where one can sit and relax. Dalai-la has a lovely such space, where you can read, or reflect on the meaning of life, or have a meal, served by delightful staff such as Binod. The hotel has some smart rooms with lovely balconies, or smaller rooms which are absolutely fine. It has a calm atmosphere and consistently helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Great place, clean, good service, generous breakfast included, very details oriented. Food is great as well :) Would def. recommend to anyone who can afford it. It was worth every penny. Hot water available, and SUPER clean, which is what I was mostly looking for, but true luxurious feeling.

Awesome hotel, a beautiful oasis (beauty) in midth of a local buzzle (biest). Reception service outstanding. Excellent service in the restaurant all time -thanks to wonderful Binod. Absolutely recommended. I will aleays come bach when staying in Nepal.

Our intrepid driver Mr Bhim takes us to a monastery on top of a mountain every morning. It is a scary steep narrow yet crowded road. Then he finds us up there in a crowd of 500 and brings us back to our hotel at 9 pm. It goes smoothly every day. He is our hero.

Most excellent, all around. Staff are kind, present, so very helpful (Simari at the front desk, Binod in dining; Abi the manager, and other dining staff whose names I don’t remember); the accommodations very comfortable (slept soundly every night) and yeay! - the linens unscented; the rooms beautifully appointed and comfortable; the menu wonderfully varied and the food fantastic; the offered services covering everything; and the hotel’s taxi service superlative, especially Mr Bhim’s driving and cheer.
