The hotel staff were very friendly & very attentive, which was lovely. I was upgraded to a suite, which was nice to have a lot of space. The shower pressure was great and the room & bathroom was very clean. The bed was very lumpy/had a dip in it, so unfortunately, wasn't the best night's sleep and I woke up with a bad back, but this may have just been the room I was in. The breakfast in the morning was average compared to other breakfast buffet's I have had in hotels recently but the atmosphere was very chilled. For a one night stay, the hotel did the job.

Very well located in the heart of Newcastle. The service was excellent. The gym was small but for everything I needed. Breakfast is on the pricey side, but very generous. In addition to the buffet, there’s a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes. If you’re a meat lover, the full English breakfast is definitely worth trying. The rooms are decent, though for this price point, you might expect a bit more luxury.

We have stayed here before and it is a perfect place to stay before you hop on your plane at Newcastle Airport. It's a bit of a wreck to the airport - takes less than 5 mins!!! It's brilliant. The metro stops at the airport and it's about 6 mins to the Doubletree from there. There's also long term parking if you are going away and limited parking if you are staying at the hotel. You are assured of a good night's sleep with a comfy bed and thick windows. Fratellos restaurant on site serves excellent food, the bar serves everything and some good cocktails too to start your holiday off! Highly recommend Doubletree by Hilton.

The location is very good - a short walk from train station Food: I had breakfast included in my package but I am NOT very happy with the choices in the SMALL buffet they presented. Very limited choices, waste of money . Rooms: the rooms are very SMALL and not expected for this hotel brand. Apparently I was confused with the word FLEX , which is a budget standard hotel. They charge £2.50 for dental kit… what a joke! Reception staff: Friendly staff and welcoming- no problem there. Missing basic amenities, which does NOT really cost them a lot, leaves negative impression on the hotel. Overall impression: Not very happy and wound NOT recommend if you are looking for decent stay with luxury, bearing in mind, the prices i was charged are NOT cheap…

I have stayed in numerous cities in uk & Europe in this hotel chain and for the first time time I was disappointed with the bathtub standard it was in poor shape I'm afraid to say

I booked the Vermont Aparthotel for a business trip to Newcastle, and my mum joined me, hence handy to book an apartment for more space. Great location, friendly stuff with good restaurant recommendations! We truly enjoyed it and would book the Vermont Aparthotel again next time.

Absolute brilliant hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming, can I just say, paul on reception was an absolute legend, as I rang up in the morning to request an early check-in as we arrived after 12 and check-in wasn't untill 3, but paul put a lock on our room, so it was ready for us when we arrived, give that man a raise. Perfect location and comfortable rooms, will deffo recommend, and if im visiting Newcastle again, I think this hotel will be my first choice, depending on price.
