This hotel really redefines what high quality service at luxury hotels should be - personable, friendly, attentive, and professional. The staff are eager to be helpful, are extremely communicative and responsive via WeChat, and cater to your every needs. My impression before I arrived was already a positive one because they helped me arrange two packages to be sent in advance to the hotel. They even let me use their contact details as the contact number to make the order as I did not have a local phone number. Upon arrival, the packages were waiting for us and housekeeping took away the leftover packaging. They also offer a free laundry service and I cannot emphasise how soft and nice smelling our clothes were when we received our freshly laundered clothes. The bathroom amenities are the luxury brand Le Labo and the water provided is the mineral water brand Evian. Of course they also have Dyson hair dryers. The daily breakfasts are truly decadent with abalone on our first morning and Angus sirloin on our second morning. We can order seconds of any of the dishes we liked. Fruit juices are freshly made. The barista even made takeaway drinks for us to enjoy on our outings. Afternoon tea and evening soups are also provided and guests can choose what time they would like it to be served and where (for example, hotel room or hotel lounge). They even prepared cold milk for us to soothe us after we returned from dinner eating some local spicy Changsha chicken. Truly outstanding service! One of the things that sets this hotel apart from any other we have stayed at are the afternoon activities they offer to their guests. On our second day we enjoyed a Cloisonné enamel class in the hotel and we will certainly be displaying the fruits of our hard work in our home when we return home. All the materials were provided to us and one of the lovely staff provided instructions and was extremely patient with us despite the language barrier. Such unique experiences on offer each day really make the stay so enjoyable for guests. I can understand why this hotel was won so many accolades. The staff really have earnt this award. It is thanks to their dedication that this hotel has earnt such a prestigious reputation. It is genuinely worth every penny! I am not sure when we will return to Changsha but it is exciting to know that the hotel does have another branch in Chengdu which we will be keen to visit, perhaps next year. All I can say is that I will always have fond memories of this hotel and particularly its staff and this hotel has certainly set the bar high for outstanding service.

I knew nothing about this place, and just rolled the dice. Came up big! Awesome! My single best experience in China! (In fairness, my second best experience is right there, just the other side of the spectrum) Warm welcome! The staff is young, super contemporary, and helpful, but not in that folding over for you way that is never truly genuine anyway. I was escorted to my room and shown the facilities. Everything excellent. Shower water goes to super hot, washlet bowl, soft towels. Things that were free: Bottled water and soft drinks in your room Beer in the lobby. Yes, 12 oz can of local Budweiser! I don't know what the policy is, but they drove me in an EV to the train station on my departure date. Not a rideshare, not a minibus. Like a nice car, with my own driver who was waiting in the lobby for me, and I was already 5 minutes early. No charge! The breakfast service is as good as I've seen. Everything is super neat, really high quality local offerings, in addition to the normal Western staples. Rest assured, this is definitively not free continental breakfast, with the one waffle iron overflowing with batter and the translucent cereal containers. As an example if you want to just sit there and eat croissants with chocolate sauce and unlimited really good coffee, they have that. You want six eggs over easy made into a perfect circle right in front of you? They have that too! And also what I showed in my pictures. The staff is constantly fluffing the place so everything stays fresh. Do yourself a favor, try to get in before 8:00. You get the whole tranquility vibe. If you're just walking in at 9:30, and the hotel happens to be full, obviously maybe not the same effect. But that's true wherever you go. The hotel offers good size rooms, and an enormous amount of very accessible outdoor space, on every floor. Multiple viewing platforms that every height that you can easily access and just look off into the mountains at any time of day. There is enough space for everyone. It is also walking distance to the Avatar Forest. Which is its own amazing thing, but that's a separate story! Excellent place! Even if you didn't go into the forest, I would say it'd be worth it.

Our stay at this hotel was more than a 10 out of 10. It was inexplicably wonderful. You simply have to experience it for yourself. The exceptional service began with our premium pickup from the train station directly to our Nordic two-bedroom home. Each morning, we were greeted by the stunning view of the park: sun rising behind the mountains, bird songs and forest sounds, peaceful sunrises, and drifting fog. We are deeply grateful to • Mr. Xiao, our concierge, for his attentive care with our meals and requests. • Mr. Wu, our private tour guide who kindly asked what we are looking for and we said less crowds, relaxing experience, yet full of adventures. He then delivered beyond our dreams. He secured us access to a magnificent route typically reserved for country VIPs and we were the only visitors in the trail. The climb was thrilling, the views mesmerizing, and our drone footage is spectacular. If you go, do request for Mr. Wu. His guidance turns our trip from great to legendary.

Claire welcomed me on the day of check-in and handled all formalities efficiently and clearly. When I enquired about visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, she patiently explained the routes and logistics using a map and proactively offered assistance with booking the required entry reservation slots. After I purchased a four-day park pass, she took the time, on my request, to explain the routes again in detail, recommending options that required less walking. Her explanations were exceptionally clear and delivered with remarkable patience. As a frequent traveler (approximately 100–120 days per year), I found this level of attentiveness and dedication to guest support truly exceptional. She further assisted with booking park entry for my second and fourth days and even followed up via WeChat to confirm whether I was able to gain entry at a later hour. Her professionalism and warmth exemplify the finest traditions of Chinese hospitality and undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on international guests. The other staff members were equally commendable. The second-floor service staff, whose office is located near the laundry room, demonstrated excellent teamwork and a strong service ethic. After completing their primary duties, they kindly assisted guests by drying laundry in the dryer and folding it once completed—an unexpected and much-appreciated gesture. I shared this experience with friends back home, and they were genuinely amazed by such a high level of service. The hotel facilities were new, well maintained, and fully functional. Breakfast offered a satisfactory and enjoyable variety, sufficient to prepare guests for a full day of activities. In addition, the hotel provides a light supper from 8:00 pm onwards, consisting of three types of porridge. This thoughtful offering was especially comforting during winter; during my five-night stay, snowfall occurred on the fourth and fifth nights. Overall, this hotel delivers an excellent standard of service, comfort, and hospitality. I would highly recommend it to both domestic and international travelers.

Beautiful view, exactly as in the photos and the absolutely comfiest bed we have slept on this entire trip! The room was spacious and had all the amenities, including a warm toilet seat! We came in winter and the heating was perfect. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even booking taxis (which we paid them back for) when we weren't managing. They picked us up from the airport in a very luxurious car and had an extensive Chinese menu and a small western menu to choose from for dinner options (pay extra). Breakfast had toast and muesli options with a sugarless coconut milk but then there were several Chinese options which were delicious and filling. I think the only thing to warn is it's further out from the town so unless you have a car, you will need to catch taxis but they are so cheap that it's worth it!
