The luxurious, French-styled Carriage House is a 3-bedroom villa at the historic Church Point Manor (built in 1860). With a first-floor, King-bed room and two upstairs, queen-bed rooms, the Carriage House can comfortably host up to 6 guests. Every bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, it’s own thermostat and central A/C and heating unit, and a fully-stocked coffee bar. The front door opens to an intimate and cozy foyer and dining area and continues into an expansive living room with a 50" TV and a wood burning fireplace. Three arched carriage doors open to the outside, allowing guests to enjoy an indoor-outdoor space from the foyer or living room. Enjoy a match of tennis or pickle ball on our secluded tennis court, or play a round of bocce ball on our charming grounds (equipment included). Our newly remodeled 4BR / 2BA mountain villa features all new furniture, 3 King beds and 1 Queen Bed, and plenty of parking for at least 4 vehicles.- This is our first Dog Friendly property. We welcome our responsible Pet Owners to bring along up to two dogs up to 35lbs each. The Claremont River House is a peaceful getaway located on a high peninsula overlooking the James River. The location itself has a deep history, from before the time of the earliest European settlers, but the house itself was built about 20 years ago as a creativity retreat. Each of the four levels of the house has rooms with balconies facing the water and views ranging far up and down the lovely James River. The bottom floor is a walk-out basement with a bedroom housing a queen bed, a two headed stone tile shower, a separate WC and a large communal sitting area. The main floor has a large Great Room and the communal kitchen as well as access on three sides to the wrap around porch. Two bedrooms are located on the second floor; the master with the king sized bed and gracious bath, featuring a Kohler slipper tub, opens onto a private balcony overlooking the river. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and a private bath and offers a view of the grounds. The uppermost floor houses a cozy room with a private bath and a stunning, bird's eye perch over the river. The four-acre grounds provide seclusion along with easy access to the river side community. The property is served by high-speed internet.Much of the woodwork in the home was made by Mack Headley, a former master craftsman in Colonial Williamsburg. Some of it, such as the herringbone patterned floor in the Great Room and staircase, was made by him from local walnut. Enjoy, relax! Each bedroom offers blackout curtains, a private ensuite, and walk-in closet. 2 bedrooms have a smart tv. Large living room also has a TV, dining area, and fully-stocked kitchen. You'll have access to on-site laundry (washer, dryer, iron, ironing board). The house is located in a safe, quiet residential area where there is plenty of parking. Queen Bedroom with Private Entrance: Has a Smart TV, walk-in closet, and private ensuite. Bedroom walks out on to a private porch with patio set for enjoying your morning coffee or winding down after a long day. Upstairs Queen Bedroom: Has a Smart TV, walk-in closet, and private ensuite. This room offers the most natural light in the mornings, and has black-out curtains for those sensitive to light and 3rd shift workers. Upstairs Twin Trundle Room: Can be set up as three twin beds (one as a trundle), with a laptop workstation; OR, this can be set up in advance as one King Sized bed with a pull-out trundle bed. If you're traveling with young children, this is probably the best space for them! Room also has blackout curtains, private ensuite and walk-in closet. We have both firm and soft pillows available for each room! We usually keep the firmer pillows on the bed, but there are always 2 extra pillows in the walk-in closet of each bedroom if you prefer something a bit softer.The dining room, living room and kitchen are open-concept. There is a breakfast bar with high-top chairs for larger groups or guests looking for a less formal dining experience. There is a dedicated workstation on the main floor where you can connect to our high speed wifi, or you can plug in directly if you prefer an ethernet connection. Fully-stocked kitchen features several small appliances, a dishwasher, stove, fridge and freezer as well as everything you would need to prepare a meal. There are two locked closets in the home, which we use to keep extra items in (soap, towels, etc.).
