📍 Hotel Keigetsu 信州昼神温泉郷 日長庵 桂月 @ Hirugami Onsen, Nagano 🇯🇵 We stayed 3D2N from 13 November 2025 at Hotel Keigetsu (日長庵 桂月), and it turned out to be one of the best choices for our Nakasendo trip. The ryokan sits in a peaceful corner of Hirugami Onsen, surrounded by nature and traditional Japanese charm. There is a designated parking area exclusively for guests, accommodating around 15-20 cars of all sizes, making it very convenient for self-drive travellers. We chose a Japanese-style room with a private bathroom, and the highlight was the beautiful wooden bathtub — perfect for a relaxing soak in complete privacy. In the mornings, the view from our room was calm and peaceful, with gentle bird chirping adding to the serene atmosphere. Our stay included breakfast and dinner, and both meals were exceptional. Each dish was beautifully prepared using seasonal ingredients, and the servers were patient and friendly, taking time to explain each course and share stories about local flavours. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced the dining experience. The ryokan is within walking distance to the Morning Market, just about 10 minutes away, making it an enjoyable little morning stroll. There is also a FamilyMart right beside the ryokan, just a short walk away — extremely convenient for drinks, snacks, or last-minute essentials during your stay. The staff also introduced several nearby activities and hiking trails, and the routes are super visitor-friendly, making this ryokan an ideal base for exploring the Nakasendo area. The onsen baths were another highlight — soothing, clean, and filled with Hirugami’s famously smooth, skin-friendly hot spring water. Perfect for unwinding every evening. Overall, Hotel Keigetsu offers excellent food, warm service, relaxing onsen, comfortable rooms, and unbeatable convenience, whether you’re here for onsen relaxation or the Nakasendo trail. Highly recommended for a peaceful, authentic, and memorable ryokan stay in Nagano. ♨️🍁🌿✨

Great Stay at Hotel Courtland, Matsumoto! Just wanted to drop a quick review for Hotel Courtland in Matsumoto—what a pleasant find! The location is absolutely fantastic. Seriously, it's about a 5-minute, worry-free walk from the station. This was a huge plus, especially since we had luggage; no need to struggle or look for a taxi. Adding to the value, the price at the time of booking was very cheap, making this a fantastic deal! As for the hotel itself, I have to say, it's exceptionally clean. Like, super clean. It made our stay feel very comfortable and relaxing. What really stood out was the amazing hospitality. We arrived after a 4-hour ride from Tokyo and were pretty frozen from the winter shock. The staff kindly offered us a free early check-in, which was incredibly thoughtful and exactly what we needed to warm up and refresh. It really saved the day! We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast this time, but based on everything else, I imagine it's great too. Highly recommend this hotel if you're ever in Matsumoto!

從長野市做長野電鐵1個多小時到湯田中站，出站下坡沿路往河邊走，幾分鐘就到，交通便利。酒店位於湯田中温泉鄉的中心位置，酒店規模不大，歷史悠久。13年對房間等設施進行了裝修，房間比較乾淨衞生。一樓有温泉大浴池，三樓還兩個有獨立的私湯，入住時在前台預約，免費使用半小時。早餐晚餐自助，菜品比較豐富，有長野牛肉火鍋，每人限三片，當地蔬菜蘑菇新鮮不限量。下午五點半前，一樓休息處提供關東煮小吃。酒店前有巴士站，可以去地獄谷野猿公園，看雪猴泡温泉，不過班次少，要提前查好時間。

位置在山頂，不太便利 不過自駕遊，也沒所謂 從成田機場開車到酒店4.5小時 Check in已是凌晨12點多 酒店職員下班了都為我們check in 但是下雪，雪地有山路是不開放的都沒有圍封 錯誤走進了，因為不開放的山路沒有剷雪 車比卡雪地了 好彩離酒店不遠 酒店職員很快幫我們拖車 酒店服務十分好，十分滿意 房間內有煮食爐、餐具 十分便利。 酒店外下雪景色太美了 都不想離開

Hotel Marroad is just a few minutes by the shuttle bus from the station , and it can also be reached on foot. We booked a room for 4 people and the room size is good at a very reasonable price (include breakfast). The fixtures are a bit old. However, the room and the amenities are very clean. We come to skiing and the hotel has a rental service (much cheaper than you rent at the ski field) which is very convenient. Also, they send us to ski field every day. Staff can speak little English, but they are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, and it is a must try.

Vị trí tuyệt vời—thích nhất là có một cửa hàng Lawson n*** tầng dưới! Tôi không biết Big Echo lại ở tầng 4; nếu không thì tôi đã định đi hát karaoke rồi. Nhưng tôi đã đặt lịch xem phim rồi nên không có đủ thời gian. Tầm nhìn đúng như tôi mong đợi. Tôi rất thích ở những nơi có cửa sổ nhìn ra quang cảnh đẹp như vậy. Điểm trừ duy nhất là máy giặt. Máy giặt khá chậm và phải dùng xu. Tôi thậm chí còn phải mua đồ uống từ máy bán hàng tự động chỉ để đủ 100 yên tiền giặt. Tôi đoán loại máy giặt kiểu cũ này vẫn còn phổ biến ở các khách sạn Nhật Bản. Không giống như những máy giặt mới hơn ở Trung Quốc và Thái Lan chỉ mất khoảng 30 phút để giặt và 20-30 phút để sấy (nếu dùng máy giặt riêng), máy giặt này mất nhiều thời gian hơn đáng kể. Nhìn chung, đây là một kỳ nghỉ tuyệt vời. Tôi ngủ rất ngon—thậm chí còn ngủ quên một chút! Có lẽ vì tôi đã dành cả ngày để trượt tuyết và hoàn toàn kiệt sức.
