The second time we came to Texas, we included Dallas in our trip. This is a fast-growing metropolis. The main attractions are downtown, such as museums, art galleries, memorials and so on.

The West End Historic District is the most interesting district in Dallas. It includes the Dallas Holocaust Museum, Dealey Plaza, the Old Red Museum, et.al.

Dallas' historic West End is filled with great restaurants eclectic stores and beautiful architecture. It's definitely worth a visit.

Spending time in the West End is must when in Dallas. Designated a Historic District in 1975, old warehouses and historic brick buildings in this 20 block area of downtown have been converted into restaurants and shops. Visit West End MarketPlace (previously the Sunshine Biscuit Company) and "Dallas Alley" (primary location for Dallas nightlife). A sample of well known businesses and sights in the West End include Hard Rock Cafe, Spaghetti Warehouse, House of Blues, Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse, Dallas World Aquarium, Dallas Holocaust Museum and Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. If you are not staying in the downtown area, you can easily reach the West End via DART.
