Gong Wangfu is located in Qianhaixi Street, Beijing. It covers an area of more than 60,000 square meters. It is the residence of Prince Gong of the Qing Dynasty. Its predecessor was the residence of the emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty and his brother Yongli of the Jiaqing Emperor. In 1851, Prince Gong Yixin became the owner of the house, and the name of Gong Wangfu came from it. Gong Wangfu experienced the historical process from prosperity to decline of the Qing Dynasty, carrying extremely rich historical and cultural information, so it has the saying "a Gong Wangfu, half of the history of the Qing Dynasty". Gongwangfu is divided into three roads, East and west, which are composed of several courtyards, followed by a 160-metre-long two-storey rear cover. The three buildings in the middle road are the main body of the mansion, one is the main hall, the second is the rear hall, and the third is the Yanlou. Yanlou is 160 meters long and has more than 40 houses. East Road and West Road each have three courtyards, echoing the Middle Road. After the collapse of the Qing Dynasty, the property rights of the mansion belonged to Furen University. In 1988, Gongwang Mansion Garden was opened to the outside world. In 2008, Gongwang Mansion completed the renovation project of the mansion and opened to the outside world in an all-round way. Gongwangfu is divided into two parts: mansion and garden. It is now the national key cultural relic protection unit (2012) and the national 5A scenic spot.
