The Oriental Museum was built in 2008 and belongs to the Oriental Foundation. Located in the Coastal Industrial Building. Among the exhibits are Chinese porcelain, African dental carvings, Indonesian textiles, Japanese screens, antique snuff bottles, cross made in Asia, fancy clothes and various accessories. It is a manifestation of Portuguese multiculturalism. It also reflects Portugal's long history of cultural exchanges with Asian countries as a maritime power.
