Having traveled extensively across Canada and other parts of the world, I can confidently say that this property—and more importantly, its staff (Maimai)—sets a new gold standard in hospitality. They accommodated our request to use the gym during extended hours at their inconvenience, allowed use of their lounges while moving their other reservations around. The Hotel: Impeccable Design Meets Thoughtful Functionality Every corner of the hotel speaks to a commitment to detail. The architecture is both grand and inviting, blending modern elegance with local charm. Rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and intuitively designed for comfort and convenience. From the plush bedding to the ambient lighting and high-end amenities, it’s clear that no expense was spared in creating a sanctuary for guests. The common areas—lobby, lounges, spa, and dining spaces—are equally impressive. They strike the perfect balance between luxury and warmth, making you feel both pampered and at home. I booked this hotel despite knowing it’s a bit far from the city center, typically requiring a 45-minute to 1-hour cab ride or a 1.5-hour journey by metro (there are two metro stations nearby). After calculating the cost savings of staying here and using cabs versus staying downtown, I found it worth it. That said, if you’re on a tight schedule, the location might not be ideal. One of the main reasons I chose this place was its newness, spaciousness, and the inclusion of a washing machine, which is essential for longer stays. However, since the property is newly established, many nearby F&B options are still under construction, especially around the hotel area. That said, there are nearby malls like Wanda Mall where you can find food and other necessities. A café and a mini-mart are already operational, and the area might become livelier in a few months. Cleanliness: I have to put it out there that I am particular when it comes to cleanliness. While the hotel is clean overall, there seems to be a lack of consistent training for the housekeeping staff. For instance, despite the initial unclean room being promptly addressed and replaced, I noticed a pile of hair/dust in one spot from Day 4 until the end of our stay—it remained untouched. I do hope that the cleaning staff would take extra precautions and being more thorough during their rounds. Overall, the cleaning staff were friendly and apologetic when reminded, but it would have been better if the cleaning was consistently thorough without needing reminders (almost on a daily basis). Amenities: I appreciated the Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom—it was a nice touch and made my stay more enjoyable. However, I did have an issue with the towels. While they were new and clean, I wished they had better quality. The towel piles would shed and stick to my body and face after use, which was frustrating. I hope this is something the hotel can address in the future. Service : The service has its highs and lows, but I will still give it a 5 as the staffs are friendly and apologetic for the issue caused. For instance, when we initially received an unclean room, the staff promptly moved us to a clean one and offered complimentary breakfast (though we didn’t end up using it). The hotel’s service WeChat was efficient, and staff responded quickly to requests. However, there were a few hiccups. For example, when we requested detergent and later asked for extra water upon delivery, the staff appeared slightly taken aback and commented on why we didn’t request both at the same time. While it might have been a minor misunderstanding, the comment and attitude felt unnecessary. One major inconvenience was the WiFi, which went down twice during our stay—once for an entire day. This was especially frustrating as I was on a work trip and had to rely on roaming, which incurred additional charges. While the staff apologized and reimbursed us, stable WiFi is essential and should be a priority. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money if you don’t mind the distance. I do hope that the hotel will have a better cleaning SOP in future.

Went to the ”wrong” Vienna Hotel after arriving by train. There are a few ”Vienna Hotels” in Zhaoqing. Unfortunately the street address for ”my” Vienna Hotel did not appear in the drop down menu of all the Vienna Hotels in the Didi App. Even the receptionists at the ”wrong” hotel were not able to help me order a Didi on my English version of WeChat. They had to order a Didi using their Chinese version of WeChat. The train trip from Guangxi Province took 90 minutes but finding the right hotel after arriving in Zhaoqinh took longer, 120 minutes. Not having a smiling enthusiastic welcome after arriving at the ”right” Vienna hotel didn't help my mood. This was made worse when I hopped into bed and smelt cigarette smoke. The bathroom is tiny and dated. The breakfast variety was great though! Checked out and moved to another newer hotel after 2 nights.

Trước khi đặt phòng, tôi đọc được rằng các đánh giá trên mạng không tốt lắm, nên tôi gọi lại cho quầy lễ tân của căn hộ, sau khi tư vấn, bà chủ nhà cẩn thận giới thiệu cho tôi tình hình cơ bản của căn hộ khách sạn và nói rằng tôi chắc chắn sẽ không thất vọng nếu đặt trực tuyến. Thế nên tôi đặt khách sạn với tâm lý muốn thử một lần, khi đến căn hộ khách sạn, tôi không hề thất vọng, bà chủ nhà sắp xếp cho tôi ở trong một chung cư cao tầng có thể nhìn thấy Canton Tower và Pearl. Sông, Cảnh đêm Quảng Châu đẹp thật! Phòng cũng rất sạch sẽ. Nó cũng rất gần với Phòng triển lãm Pazhou nơi tôi đi công tác. Chỉ cách một ga tàu điện ngầm. Gần đó có rất nhiều món ăn ngon, với đủ loại đồ ăn. Đó là đáng giới thiệu cho bạn bè đến Quảng Châu tham dự triển lãm!
