Location was decent for a small town, with a mini mart nearby and several dining options around. The staff were very nice and friendly. One of my family members wasn’t sure how to use the heated blanket, so they didn’t take it out, which made it look like the room wasn’t used. The next day, the staff actually called to check if we were okay, as they were concerned we might have caught a cold from not using the heated blanket. I thought that was a really thoughtful gesture.

Fridge and kitchenette was shared in corridor outside room. We booked a family room and was a double and two singles and private bathroom. Was no photos available at the time so had not realised there was no sitting / kitchen space - but fine for one night driving through and bar / restaurant was open. Tea and coffee available in rooms.

We had been advised by a relative that this hotel on the beach was worth staying at. We had a deluxe room up on the hill across the main road so we were not actually on the beach. However the view of the ocean was fantastic particularly in the stormy weather. Due to the weather we had to drive down to the restaurant for breakfast. Restaurant fully booked out by tour groups for dinner but the tavern about 1.5km down the road saw us right for a meal. The complex seemed to have several different standards of rooms and I think ours was the best.

We were greeted with warm hospitality by the owner Angela when we arrived to check into Franz Josef Oasis. The executive king suite room was clean, cosy and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the sofas with warm blankets place for our comfort near the fireplace. The location of this place is also good as it 5 minutes drive to the town where we had a delicious dinner at Blue Ice Restaurant and Bar which was recommended to us by Angela. The service is excellent and I will definitely recommend this place to those who are travelling to Franz Josef !

Got in late and left early. Met by the very friendly owner and shown to my room and the features were well explained. The room was spacious, clean, well appointed and the bed very comfortable. In spite of the motel being on the main road and me being in the room closest to the road I noticed little or no traffic noise.

Clean and spacious apartment. Interesting the kitchen is together with sleeping area. Food smell actually hard to ventilate out. Kitchen amenities slightly worn out but still can be used. Our poor luck as the clothes dryer in the laundry room is faulty. We dropped coins for twice and still damp, so no choice we packed up in car and travel on. Own car pouch Infront of apartment. Contactless arrangement for check in. Love the quick response from host. This is certainly the best Accom to stay in if you drop by for Fox Glacier Hike.

There are several restaurants near which are good. Very quite location so overall a good stay. Only way onto glacier is by helicopter which is costly.

FFedeleWe really enjoyed the our short stay here. We got he suite room with the private bathrooom and was great. Everything is clean and very well organized. Two minutes walk from the helicopter ride. We have enjoyed cooking on site. There’s a big shared kitchen well equipped, fridge available to store stuff. In case nearby and walking distance several options for dining. Strongly suggested.

TTài khoản kháchWe arrived around 9pm ish and the property was quite dark. The reception desk had a note stick on the door indicating our room assignment. We had booked 2 rooms, but unfortunately, both had bugs (moths) in them. Since we arrived late, there were no open stores or restaurants nearby, not even a convenience store. We found a nearby bar online that was advertised as being open until 1am, but when we called, they informed us they were closing early due to a quiet night. However, they were kind and prepared some chips, samosas and spring rolls for us, which we appreciated as it was our only option for dinner. For future guests arriving late, I highly recommend advising them to purchase food in advance.

The room was tastefully furnished and clean, and other staff we interacted with were friendly. However the biggest issue is that the walls between rooms are are paper thin so we could hear people next door and doors banging. This woke us up early on both nights we stayed. If you stay - bring ear plugs. There was a lounge with a bar - the bar was permanently closed so there was no where to get a hot or cold drink unless you went to a cafe down the road.

TTài khoản kháchI think it's one of the best legit hotel in Franz Josef. Staff are so nice. I had to cancel 1 night of my stay, as my main activity (the glacier hike) got cancelled due to bad weather. Hotel was kind enough to accommodate and refund me 1 night. Its definitely a nice place to stay.
