I found my one night stay at the Highlander Hotel to be very pleasant. My room was a generous double en suite and was spotless. As a solo traveller on a pedal bike I was pleased that there was a secure shed where I could leave my bike in confidence. The staff were very helpful over this and again when I reported that the tv wasn't receiving a signal. This was sorted very quickly with a new aerial cable. Breakfast was good, with plenty of fresh fruit and a choice of hot dishes. Great value and I'd certainly go back.

Service throughout our stay was freindly and Prompt, breakfast was very sizable with plenty options and was all quite fresh tasting. Rooms were clean and had all we needed in them, tv was showing it age and there was a strange smell in the corridor and into the door but that was the only faults we had. Very enjoyable and well recommended. Added point Young man at the desk for morning and when we checked in went above and beyond during our stay.

A very well situated hotel right in the centre of Inverness and just a few minutes walk from the central train station. Surrounding the hotel are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops which is great and you’re also very close to the bus station for taking trips out of town. The room was basic and a little bit tired (some dents and scratches, frayed carpet) but otherwise was clean and tastefully decorated with basic amenities like a kettle, hair dryer, tea bags, a large TV, so on. We were facing the main road so on Saturday evening it was quite loud but the reception desk provided us with ear plugs upon request which were more than adequate. We would come back to this hotel again next time we’re in Inverness.

I always try to stay here on my trips to Inverness. Friendly staff, literally seconds from the train station entrance. Room warm with all the amenities you need and a huge bath with hot water all day. Super comfy bed and fine bed linen. Hotel combines traditional Scottish character, tartan carpets, stag heads that sort of thing, with modern touches, displays of modern art etc. Great lounge to use at reception.

JJayantguptaThe hotel provided a very pleasant stay, with staff who were consistently helpful and courteous. Access to the high street is more convenient by car, as walking with a child may not be practical. Ample parking is available, and housekeeping services are provided daily. The breakfast offering was good, with a wide selection for non-vegetarian guests. However, vegetarian options were limited. Guests have complimentary access to the swimming pool and fitness center, which is a valuable amenity. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to guests who are comfortable with a 30–40 minute walk to the high street or plan to travel by car. KFC is imprint of hotel Arnold rental is 7 min walk. Shopping center 20- 30 mins

TTài khoản kháchThe hotel is looking and feeling very tired and dated and in serious need of upgrading.  They’re charging 2025 prices for 1980 standard services.  They clearly cater for bus tours and large parties which are not there to appreciate where they are and their surroundings.  There was serious problem with running hot water in the room as well as in the showers in the spa.  I overheard many guests complaining about no hot water in their rooms at reception.   Breakfast was very disappointing, they offer a continental selection of one type of cold meat and one type of sliced cheese with pan loaf bread!  Fort William boasts artisan bakery’s so no excuse there.  During breakfast very loud 80s movie themed music is blaring, the dining room is so big there’s practically a speaker above every second table.  When asked to turn it down we were met with a standard reply, “I was just asked to turn it up”. Totally unbelievable.  Due to the large parties tables are not cleared fast enough nor cleaned, we had to clean and set our own table before we could eat and this is where we were directed to sit. Waiting staff are clearly not trained nor directed appropriately for a hotel boasting a high standard.  We were not encouraged to dine in the hotel at all. The exterior of the building is not only showing signs of disrepair but is also very dirty. They are missing the B in the main signage and is the first thing you see on arrival.   Positives:  the room was clean although all views from most rooms do not look out onto anything nice.  Temperature of the pool, steam room and jacuzzi excellent.  The lounge bar appeared to have the best atmosphere and felt like a highland hotel. Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely not!   Would I stay there again? Definitely not!

Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

However, there was a small outdoor balcony with a table and two chairs, which provided a nice spot to sit and eat. The rooms looked modern and recently renovated. The bathroom was well-designed, featuring sleek black tiles and gold fixtures, and the hot water worked perfectly. One of the best features of the room was the separate sink area, along with a microwave and fridge. This was especially convenient for heating up food or enjoying ready-to-eat meals from the nearby Aldi if you’re too tired to head out. The room also came with a kettle, coffee, tea, and even a chocolate wafer as a thoughtful welcome touch. There is no reception desk at this hotel, so it’s important to have internet access as check-in is fully digital. You’ll receive your room number via email just before your arrival. Make sure to complete the online pre-check-in to confirm your stay and receive further instructions. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient one-night stay.
