A car is recommended.Within eight minutes of leaving the airport you will be sipping a cool drink on the white sand beach beside the emerald waters of Tar Bay. The bay is protected by a reef a mile away and the sandy bottom and shallow waters are safe for kids. The crystal clear waters are ideal for snorkeling and on a calm day kayaking is a must. The summer water temperature is 85 degrees. A short 8 minute drive east you will find the charming and friendly town of Georgetown, capital of this island archipelago of 3800 permanent residents.
