In Front of the hotel is the river n the mountains view is spectacular! Very beautiful hotel n the toilet is high tech with heat up the seat n washing facilities. The staffs are simply wonderful, articulate and with positive attitude.

Booked a family room for 1 night. It's located at a quiet area but just 5min walk to old street. Nice deco but mattress and pillow too soft for our liking.

Sue's house is a really beautiful, friendly and welcoming place. The breakfast was really great and the staff was incredibly nice. We got picked up and brought back to the trainstation which was really great. The communication with wechat they offered was really comfortable. All facilities were new and the place was very clean. We would definetly come again to enjoy the view. Even though there was construction around the house, the staff handled that very well and tried to do everything to minimize the inconvenience.

Very quiet and serene. Slightly out of the main town. It is like a beautiful painting if you view from the foyer. Very warm hospitality and ever helpful staff.

The receptionist was very kind to allow us early check in plus upgrade us to a bigger room. She also allowed later check out when we told her my wife was not feeling well. Overall , the hotel is new and modern looking. Would definitely come again.

Great place to stay just outside of the ancient village (other side of the small river). Very quiet and comfortable. We got an upgrade to a room with a bathtub and we certainly used it, it feels like a private spa. Service is fantastic and very helpful in arranging pick up and drop off as well as additional trips during our stay. Easy communication via WeChat. Beautiful place, with to stay extra time. A small minus point on the cleanness because airco (we think) gave some unpleasant smell (musty).

I was amazed by the service. The staff gave us valuable tips and helped us to organize all our activities at an affordable price. So grateful ! The room was also spacious and very comfortable. Very cute. Also top location.. comfortable shower, bed and room temperature. Thank you !

Sue’s Homestay is an incredible place in one of the most beautiful landscapes in China! The decor was modern and warm, the room was spacious and clean, and the hospitality was inviting. The staff helped with a pickup at the bus station and drop off when departing. They also assisted with various activities and even helped me troubleshoot and connect with the hospital to obtain my test results. The icing on the cake was the spectacular view from my room! Although Xingping is a bit out of the way from Yangshuo and Guilin, if you’d like a peaceful and stunning retreat, Sue’s Homestay is my pick.

Wow! What a stay!!! Sue’s House is a very homely place, with great interior; wonderful hospitality and an incredibly convenient location. The staff are amazing and some of the most hospitable set of people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in my 8 years within China! The hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the entrance of Laozhai Mountain (around 40 minutes walk to the peak); 25 minutes walk to the entrance of the wharf for the iconic 20 RMB photograph opportunity, and less than 3 minutes walk to the Ancient Town. Whilst here, check out White Cafe (白 cafe).

The place is very nice, well maintained. Recommended if you are in town on your way to Yangshuo.

I only have one regret when it comes to Sue's house..it is that we did not stay longer! We stayed over for one night, and it was just so relaxing! The room was sparkling clean! The staff is so friendly and helpful! The view from the room is amazing. This hotel is very close to the old street and the 20¥ scenic view point! The staff arranged an e-bike for us. We ate lunch at Sue's House, and wow....it was delicious! We did not eat again untill breakfast, and again at Sue's House the next morning. So during our 24hours in Xingping we only ate at Sue's House and both times the food was delicious! The eggplant dish blew my taste buts away! They have good coffee and tea at reception! We will definitely come back to Xingping if only to stay at Sue's House!

This was our best hotel experience in all our years of traveling and hotel stays. Location is great, right outside the ancient town and not too far from the mountain and river attractions. There are plenty of good restaurants in the old town that are a walkable distance from this hotel, which is key when you are as lazy as I am. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean, which is one of the most important things for me. It actually feels as clean as it looks, no hidden grime anywhere. They have some gorgeous cats, one of which is often allowed to roam around, so that is an added bonus for me! The hotel's food options for lunch and dinner were delicious, and actually fresh; I'm glad we spent the money to order some meals there. They have a washer with a heating function on the roof, which guests are allowed to use, so it was a huge relief to be able to wash and dry our clothing. The staff and service were probably the best parts of this hotel, even more so than the cats, and if you know me you'll know it's tough to win over animals in my heart. The staff are some of the nicest and most helpful people around - they helped us set up airport pick up and drop off, gave us advice on things to do and see, helped us buy rafting tickets, and even prepared a simple breakfast for us to take the night before we left since we were leaving so early the next morning. My husband liked Yangshuo a lot, but for me I know I would have liked Yangshuo much less than I did if not for the staff at this hotel. I can honestly say that they were a huge part of why I like Yangshuo, and why I'd even bother going back. I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely give them more than 5 stars if I could.

酒店本身民宿設施很不錯，也很細心。比起古城裡，從酒店出發五分鐘的一河之隔，這裏清凈多了！但出門整個路面情況一言難盡，多備雙鞋吧，道路情況非常糟糕，泥濘，再怎麼小心也完蛋！

第一次選擇酒店居然是看中了名字，“素直”想到的就是，樸素，正直，而“素”是代表沒有修飾的、樸素的，就想着和一般的酒店沒什麼區別，就訂了，看見酒店門口的時候我就覺得老闆多多少少帶着一點"欺騙”酒店門口都是各種各樣的多肉，植物（基本上都叫不出名字） 進去之後明顯感覺就是用心設計過的，房間也是，各種小細節，因為下雨酒店對面的一座一座的，然後半山有雲霧環繞一整個山水畫，喝着店家提供的桂花普洱茶，很安逸，想賴着不走了
