The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us moved the luggage from the drop off point to the hotel and booked a ferry service for my family. The hotel was very tastefully designed and the bed was very comfortable. The only drawback was the lack of clothes hook in the bathroom for you to hang clothes when you bath. The local breakfast set was very big in portion and tasty. The hotel is located on a little island that is linked to the main land by a small bridge. The whole shuanglang gu zhen is very busy and lots of shops to walk around.

This is probably one of the best hotels my family and I have stayed in. Not only was the location amazing (the hotel overlooks the Erhai and Cangshan, making breakfasts and any meals eaten extremely picturesque and peaceful) but the staff was incredibly kind, doing everything they could to ensure we were comfortable with our stay. On the day of our arrival, a staff came to pick us up from the taxi and carried our luggage to the hotel, making sure we wouldn't get lost. On our last day, another staff member took us to the bus station, carrying our bags and waiting until the bus came to pick us up. The hotel is located just off the main street, still next to the main shopping area, but allowing for a more quiet and peaceful environment. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the furniture to the rooms to the plants. We would highly recommend coming to this hotel, and we will definitely be staying here again. My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless—staff greeted me warmly at the pick-up point and efficiently transported me to the hotel via buggy. They kindly prepared the room early so I could check in ahead of time and rest. The location is breathtaking, with a stunning view overlooking Erhai. Waking up to the sunrise right in front of the lake was unforgettable, and the hotel even has a rooftop deck where I could enjoy the view in a peaceful, open setting. One of the highlights of my stay was the coffee—rich, beautifully presented, and complimentary. It was honestly one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. The staff were consistently positive, engaging, and incredibly helpful. They assisted me with everything I needed, including booking an e-scooter through their local app since I didn’t have a Chinese number. They went out of their way to help, never once showing any reluctance or frustration. My room was spotless and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches like a water dispenser and humidifier that made my stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was another highlight—delicious, heartwarming, and clearly prepared with care. There are a few small improvements that could elevate the experience even further: a small bench to sit on while putting on shoes, a jacket hanger near the entrance, and blinds that could be adjusted to a half-height setting rather than just fully open or closed. That said, these are minor details in what was otherwise an exceptional stay. This was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mountain Resort Hotel close to Dali Old Town. The room was clean, and quiet and provided everything we could ask for. The staff welcomed us wholeheartedly and was always happy to help! Booking a shuttle to Dali Trains station was also very easy via the front desk. The breakfast was also delicious! While we stayed there, it consisted of a soup, porridge, sweet potatoes, maize and a boiled egg, as well as pickles on the side. Thank you very much for the pleasant experience!
