It was an excellent experience in every aspect. Nothing beats a relaxing private onsen after each day out and the staff was so nice too. For what we got it was a very good price. The small houses are each unique and no matter which one you get, it'll look and feel nice. Beware that some of them are Futon only though. There is no English translation for anything, but everything went smoothly with our small Japanese skills and Google Translate (the last of which could probably suffice by itself, especially as the staff is eager to throw in some English and Google Translate by themselves). Thank you very much, we'll come again if we come to the Beppu area again.

good value for money! would definitely stay again location: it's relatively further from the station , around a 8-10min walk. there is a 7-11 just around the corner room: my room came without a bathroom but for the ladies are 3 cubicles shared among the 7 mix gendered guests on the floor. i did not have to wait in line at all. there was more than enough space in the room to open my suitcase wide and still feel comfortable. bed and pillow was a bit hard though, and you can hear anyone talking loudly downstairs outside the building as the room is on 2nd floor, tho that doesnt happen very often. food: amazing balanced breakfast that changes everyday - really delicious! onsen: the one on 2F was smaller than 1F, but very good and comfortable. clean too. you can book a private onsen room for 500yen (50mins) staff: all of them were super friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome. there are english-proficient staff available 24H as well :)

I stayed in Beppu for 4 nights, trying different onsens at different hotels.Tsuruta was my last Beppu hotel. Although the room i stayed in is rather dated and items worn out, all necessary equipment are working very well, i stayed at a newer 4.5 star hotel prior and the air-conditioner, hair dryer and toilet exhaust were noisy and faulty, while in the older Tsuruta where everything works well! This don't judge a book by its cover, older hotels is just as good! I've attached a photo of the park and harbour view from my room at Tsuruta.

Khách sạn khá cũ, hành lang có mùi ẩm mốc, nhưng phòng ốc thì ổn. Khách sạn có suối nước nóng riêng, khá lớn, với cả bể bơi trong nhà và ngoài trời. Phòng ốc thì không được rộng lắm. Việc nhận phòng và trả phòng là tự phục vụ, nhưng với sự hỗ trợ của nhân viên, mọi việc diễn ra suôn sẻ. Đồ dùng vệ sinh cá nhân dùng một lần có sẵn ở quầy lễ tân. Vị trí khách sạn tuyệt vời, n*** đối diện nhà ga – không thể gần hơn được nữa! Chỉ riêng điều đó thôi cũng đã làm tôi hài lòng. Tôi đến vào buổi trưa, dành buổi chiều tham quan bảy địa điểm địa ngục (ám chỉ bảy nơi bị nguyền rủa), ở lại một đêm và lên tàu sớm sáng hôm sau đến thành phố tiếp theo.

Location is near supermarket and family mart. A few Coin parking locations near the house. First floor has 2 rooms ＜1 double bed and 1 with twin beds＞ but no space for luggages, a small washing basin at the corner of the staircase. 1 wc and 2 showers at first floor. Washing machine ＜no dryer＞ on the first floor. 1 wc on 2nd floor. Living room on 3 floor. 2nd floor has 2 rooms ＜1 with 2 double beds and 1 single bed, another with a single bed＞. 2 washing basin on 2nd floor inside the rooms. It's not possible to bring big luggage up to narrow and steep staircase.no mirror on 1st floor so nid to climb up to wash and brush teeth. We wish the living room was the 1st floor. The music from nearby is bearable. Only know how to manage the water heater on 2nd day. Suggestion to include rubbish bins on the first and 2nd floor. Add a mirror on first floor.

Ưu điểm: Ở phòng 203, phòng dành cho 5 người… Phòng rộng rãi và thoải mái! Có cả cửa sổ nữa! Cách âm tốt giữa các phòng. Chỉ nghe thấy tiếng tàu chạy qua khi thức, nên không phải vấn đề lớn đối với chúng tôi. TV có YouTube và Netflix để xem! Nhược điểm: Không có thang máy!!! Chúng tôi phải mang hành lý nặng và cồng kềnh lên tầng 2! *Nên ghi rõ sự thiếu hụt tiện ích quan trọng này trong hệ thống đặt phòng! Chỉ có 2 chỗ đậu xe cho 7 phòng. *Cũng nên ghi rõ trong hệ thống đặt phòng rằng chỗ đậu xe là theo nguyên tắc ai đến trước được phục vụ trước và phải đậu xe ở bãi đậu xe trả phí gần đó nếu cả hai chỗ đều đã có người đậu. Sẽ tốt hơn nếu cung cấp thêm túi rác trong phòng vì việc dọn dẹp rác thải thực phẩm trong phòng là rất cần thiết trong suốt nhiều ngày lưu trú của chúng tôi! Bàn ăn (rất lung lay và một bên chân bàn có vẻ sắp gãy) cần được thay/sửa chữa n*** lập tức!
