皮皮蛋_001Small boutique hotel ran by a very friendly woman and man. The 古镇 itself is very quiet and the surrounding town doesn't have much going on. Everyone is in bed by 10. Perfect if you're looking for a quiet couple days, but definitely worth mentioning! There is an amazing trail system all around Ninghai and the hostess can give you many excellent hiking recommendations. She's local to the area and (as far as I understood) the property which is now the hotel belonged to her family at the beginning of the 20th century. There's even a good bit of original furniture around. The guest rooms are clearly brand new and exceptionally clean. If you are sensitive to odors, you might ask them to remove some of the wormwood (艾草) from your room ahead of time. Two bags of it are hung in every room. I happen to like it but I could imagine some might find it too strong. The hostess speaks some English and works very hard to accommodate everyone. She even fed us dinner when we arrived too late to eat in the town. Overall very nice, we'll definitely stay here again if we go to Ninghai.

The common dining area is a visual delight, adorned with tasteful furnishings and bathed in ample natural light. Our stay was elevated by the genuinely warm and accommodating staff, who went above and beyond to provide insightful recommendations for exploring the area. Despite not having a car, the hotel's strategic location allowed us to embark on a delightful on-foot adventure. A scenic hike from the hotel unveiled a hidden gem—a breathtaking waterfall that added an extra layer of enchantment to our stay. Moreover, a leisurely walk down the mountain led us to a charming village nestled on the edge of a vast lake, creating the perfect setting for a tranquil sunset stroll. Our overall experience at this haven was nothing short of magical. The thoughtful details, combined with the friendly staff and natural wonders surrounding the hotel, made it a memorable retreat. We can genuinely say this place exceeded our expectations, and we're already planning our return. Highly recommended for those seeking a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality.

DDenko GlobalReception Welcomed with warmth from the cold weather outside when you walk into the lobby area . Location Easy place to locate with various transport services around all parts of the town. Not far from my meeting points and the airport. Food Room beverage needs to be looked (No coffee) I didn't have the privilege to enjoy the breakfast buffet due to my morning rush to attend meetings. More dining places to explore since the hotel's restaurant closes early during the evening after my check-in at 8pm. Amenities TV and internet service are a bit complicated with various SMS registered accounts 😕 especially for travellers with no service but works finally. Rooms Nice stress free and spacious rooms with the Ruya Stress relief tub room, great choice. I was wondering where their steamers or irons were to press clothes in the laundry room but later moved onto something else. Cleanliness Calm and serene environment with passionate cleaning done with minor issues. Lovely place .

CCliffHangerThe land lady is really kind & nice, attended to all our needs & requests. They serve decent food at their self-run local restaurant & the location is within a charming village. The room is new, so if it was cleaned properly, I would have given an easy 5 stars. However, only the bed linens & towels are obviously sanitary & the rest are all questionable. But the hot water in the shower is very hot, which is a big plus & The pillows are soft & comfortable. I would recommend not to drink the water from the boiling device as it tastes funny, and keep the bathroom door closed because there’s an awful smell that comes out of it sometimes. The public veranda overlooking the mountains is not maintained at all & is dirty, if not, it would be a great spot to relax. Overall my stay was ok, especially because of the very accommodating land lady/owner.

TTài khoản kháchWe spend three nights here to explore the area and loved our stay! The owners were so kind and helpful! Despite our limited mandarin we could still communicate well with some English and translation apps. They helped us with public transport directions (two buses from Ningbo) and provided a varied tasty breakfast (even vegetarian upon our lastminute request). Nice warm shower and beautiful mountain view from the room. There are some great hiking trails nearby (see Zhejiang hiking trails app), some starting directly from this cute historic village. The village across the hill (15min walk) is also very scenic. All in all a great nature getaway from Shanghai with the sweetest hosts!
