Hotel Blue Sea Lagos de Cesar

Can't believe why people have been so negative about this hotel , when you book surely you know it's a budget hotel ? For the price we payed , I thought it was good value . Massive rooms , comfortable beds , never a problem getting a sunbed around the pool . Very clean , the domestic staff were always cleaning and mopping ! All the staff in general work really hard , they deserve a pay rise ! So many people have moaned about the food , but from my perspective, it was fine .Try a bit of everything rather than wanting bacon and eggs every day ! Plenty of salad and potato/ Russian salad , paella was on for lunch , lots of pasta with sauces ( mainly tomato ) , lots of fruit , the bread was ok with delicious jams ., nice thick yogurts . And Canarian mojo sauces with the canarian potatoes . Coffee was ok, fruit juice so /so Liked how there was proper Coke , Coke Zero , Fanta , Sprite on tap and San Miguel on tap at lunch and at the pool bar . The Sangria and spirits were nt had either ! Yes it would have been good to have better meat options for evening meal and maybe a bit of ice cream at the pool bar but we did nt go hungry . We did nt really stay in at night , did play bingo just once though ! We always managed to get back for a drink before the bar shut and you could take drinks up to your room . If you're looking for a base to explore the island , this hotel is well connected by the buses , and taxis are nt too badly priced, (we went to Playas Las Americas on the bus €8.90 then got a taxi back one night which was €43 ) Alcala and Playa San Juan were close by and very nice , if you did nt fancy the walk to Los Gigantes, as it might be too hilly for some , the bus goes there as well , (very good Irish bar in Los Gigantes ! ) There s a few little bars in Puerto de Santiago and just a short walk is Playa del Arena with a few more to try . Really enjoyed our break in Tenerife , the weather was fantastic too which was a bonus !

Great stay . Reception was with really nice people. Cleaning was good. Location and facilities very good. Good value for money. Food was good. We had half bord . We had great experience with local restaurant. With half bord we can change dinner for lunch. That was working very well for us . On nights we enjoyed local restaurant.

This wasn't my first choice of hotel however after booking another Bluesea hotel and then reading there was no Aircon we switched to here. I'd read the reviews and was actually dreading our visit but decided to take them with a pinch of salt and see for ourselves. So why do I say it's not family friendly, we arrived late at night and was immediately asked to sign a disclaimer saying we would be prepared to pay for anything our children broke. Obviously not a concern of ours that our kids would break something but found it odd to have to sign. The room for ourselves and our 10 year old was a double and a sofa bed which wasn't particularly comfy for him. Our beds were absolutely rock hard and so were not comfy either. The pool is exactly what the reviews state a swimming only pool. The pool rules mean no playing around, no inflatables, no balls, no squirters nothing but swimming, after you have showered that is. The fun police aka the lifeguard will Physically remove items from you and take them away if you have them. The food choice in the restaurant wasn't catering enough for children either. If you are adults only this hotel is lovely and I can't fault the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel itself. There is a strong smell of sewage which is constant in the back stairs which leads to the fitness suite and unfortunately up to our room. The rooms themselves look updated but don't be fooled this is just painted wood chip and the bathroom are in desperate need of a upgrade. The shower curtain are not something I would expect to see in a 4 star hotel and there no complementary shower gels etc so make sure you take your own. There is also no outdoor seating area to sit and have a drink from the bar in the evening and you have to stay in the inside bar which is baking hot as they don't seem to use the air conditioning this is the same in the restaurant it is always far too hot as they don't seem to use the Aircon. The cleaning of the hotel rooms is good however they arrive.at 8.00am and expect you to leave the room so they can clean again not great if you are a family. The older guy in the bar is rude and quiet scary as when he makes you a cup of pure vodka and you take it back to ask for coke in it he snatches it from you and throws it in the sink in an aggressive manner. Having said all of this it as a 3 star hotel I would say it is ok however I would not recommend or return to this hotel.

After reading the the reviews I was doubtfull but how wrong alot of these reviews are! Our first time and we loved it . Dumi was fantastic from our first day, from playing darts to his funny performances at evening. Even taking us out to watch live music after the hotel was closed! Food was great for us, we only ate out on days which we were away from the hotel. Drinks were great. Very strong! All the staff were lovely especially the lovely Natasha and Martin! Rooms were great, we were happy for the exra for the sea view the sunsets were amazing, rooms had everytginf you needed if not wasn't a problem getting it for you. Lovely area for the quieter holiday! 4 days into the holiday we booked to come back for over Christmas day ! And counting the days already! See you in December!!

I really can’ t say anything bad about cleanliness, because cleaning ladies were doing a good job indeed - yet if anything is depreciated then it can’ t be cleaned so it looks like new one. Horrible food - I must say. The only thing that was okay to eat was french fries. Rooms were spacious though. Sorry, but I would not recommend.

Excellent hotel with happy staff . Servings to suited for your requirements. Clean and nice swimming pool. Excellent food and drinks and fruits. Rooms cleaned every day 😂 . Our flight was delayed on 19th May so we were informed , they open 24/7 but surprised to have food servrd at 12.30am ( just after midnight). When we booked an excursion to Gomera island two days later we had to leave the hotel the next day early when we mentioned they served breakfast at 6.45 am instead of the normal l time of 8. am. Very happy experience. We recommend 10/10

May 19 th to 25th 2024. Very nice hotel with smiling staff . Food was great drinks superb, nice swimming pool , beach less than two minutes walk. They served food at midnight when our flight delayed . They arranged early breakfast when we have to leave at 7am for excursion. Rooms cleaned everyday and bed sheets pillow cases all good. Fantastic experience. We recommend the hotel 10/10.

I was there for a week this time, not long enough. Joseba and Nuria were the most welcoming helpful receptionists, and the restaurant staff were lovely andfriendly as always, the hotel feels like a home from home to me every time I stay there.
