Between the Massif des Maures, the coastal path and La Croix Valmer, the famous seaside resort of the Var department is ideally located by the Mediterranean Sea in Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur. But Saint Tropez is best known for its fishing port, illustriously known for its relaxed lifestyle, was frequented long before the arrival of Brigitte Bardot who breathed new life into her legendary shooting of the film “and God created woman”. Maupassant stayed there, but also other artists such as the painter Paul Signac, master of the pointillist movement. Other great names in French literature and poetry have appreciated the place, such as Colette or Cocteau… It is with these few words that Guy de Maupassant described it at the end of the 19th century: “Saint-Tropez, turbulent daughter of the sea".
