Loved this hotel with a few exceptions, the food, the pool, and the confusing what is in and what is not all inclusive set up. The general cleaniness and staff at the hotel were great, the area was full of shops and the beach was lovely. The biggest issue was the quality of the food at the buffet restaurant as it was very often overcooked, tough, tasteless and bland. The menu looked amazing with fish, lamb, pork in a variety of guises, but once cooked you needed a spare set of teeth to get through it. Even things like the bread was a tough as old boots. The other area that was disappointing was the lack of snacks and food alternatives during the day, if you want any food from the pool bar you have to pay for it which was confusing for an all inclusive hotel. Ultimately this became a bit of a running joke on the holiday and thankfully we were able to get into a couple of the themed restaurants which were very quiet, even though they were allegedly fully booked, but the food was very nice and we ate our fill. The pools are another point of contention, we had a room with a shared pool, but the pool was tiny, far too small to be shared by 10 rooms. Also the shared pool is borderline dangerous with steps that are unevenly spaced, included the final step which was at least a drop of 12 inch's. The other big problem with the pools were the chemicals used as they stained any light fabrics that came into contact with the water. All our swimwear is now ruined and will need to be thrown away, along with the cover up dresses and t-shirts we used near the pool, which is an annoying additional expense. Unfortunately the food is so bad that we would not recommend or return to this hotel unless there are massive improvements.

This is my first time here and won't be the last. Antonio welcomed me on arrival and was very informative. My room was beautiful and VERY clean. Infact the whole hotel is spotless, you could eat of the floor. There was no rush to get a sun lounger as there was plenty which was a bonus. Towels can be hired and you leave a deposit, I guess that's refundable (I took my own). This is a family hotel and there's entertainment for your little ones as well as the adults. There is a indoor swimming pool and gym again all very clean. You can hire bikes again leave a deposit and again I assume this is refundable. The beach is a 15 minute walk away. Definitely recommend visiting it. On the way to the beach there are lots of shops, spar, pharmacy, restaurants even burger king. I had a fantastic time here and definitely recommend. My only gripe would be, some parents allowing younger children to serve their own foods. You wouldn't do it at home, so why do it on holiday.

Just returned from 11 night stay at this lovely hotel. When you arrived you pay tax we paid £62 for 2 for 11 nights. You also need a card when you check in for anything charged to your room. Newly refurbished is nice modern and very clean. We booked a swim up room which was lovely and spacious and came with flowers in there room and a bottle of cava. Bathrobes and slippers and towels in the wardrobe. Large bathroom with shower and bath. Good air conditioning large tv and all lights controlled from a panel. We did have a couple of issues - an invoice was put under our door the morning after we arrived to pay the tax but luckily we had a receipt to prove we had paid it so if you pay by cash always ask for a receipt. The shower leaked Everytime we used it but someone came to look at it and resealed however it did still leak a little. There is a fridge in the room with drinks which you have to pay for. We stayed half board and breakfast and evening meal included all food was really good and lots of choice however restaurant does get busy at times and you have to queue for food. We used the adult pool area which was lovely and quiet and had a small bar for drinks. Always beds available. The choice of drinks was very good cocktails excellent and freshly made no pre made rubbish. Prices were reasonable too. Plenty of activities free at this hotel to do. We would definitely return but don’t think he would pay the extra for a swim up room again as we didn’t really use it.

Just returned from my holiday here, lovely hotel ! entertainment team were amazing, Paula and Adriana carried out lots of fun activities throughout the day, aqua gym, darts, shuffleboard, sjoelen and many more ! We had rain for an hour on one of the days we stayed and they both quickly got out bingo to play to pass the time inside while we waited for the sun ! They both spoke a wide range of languages so were able to communicate with everyone and were incredibly friendly ! The hotel was clean, staff were always around to offer assistance, wide selection of food in the buffet restaurant, good wifi connection throughout the whole hotel! Would definitely return

Really enjoyed staying at Protur SaComa playa hotel room was lovely and slept very well comfy bed and pillows bathroom well equipped only complaint the shower floods every use. Food we thought was excellent even though some reviews state different I don’t know what they expect sometimes. Entertainment was good some nights but ambience made it worth staying and having a drink we were half board and was surprised by how reasonable priced the drinks were and snack bar at lunch time. We have one real complaint the hotel having a corporate company sending groups of people to stay they brought the hotel down while they were there it was like being at a 18 to 30 club loud and obnoxious I felt so sorry for bar staff as they dominated the bar asking for tray’s of cocktails luckily they were gone after about 4 days but would choose not to be visiting if they were there again. Otherwise enjoyed hotel very much

My wife & i along with another couple spent 7 nights at Bouganvilla, flight was 2hrs.20 mins. Transfer was 1hr.30 mins. Short queue for check in then the probs started. We arrived at 12:30. Hotel tax was €30.60. We were given a Yellow band so our luggage could be stored, the all inclusive did not start till 14:00 & were not given our keys for rooms, if we wanted the all inclusive bands then we had to pay €10.00 each ! We of course refused to pay this ! There were long queues at the bar so we went to the mini market & got cans which were €1.40 for large San Miguel. Our rooms were on the second floor which meant there 4 sets of stairs to climb as there are NO LIFTS ! very hard to do for us older folk.... The food was nearly always cold at times, it was best to get there early before the FLIES attacked it. We ate out most of the time if we could find a decent place to eat which we found on the second last day. Best place for English Breakfast was a place called DELAYNEYS... If we did ever go back then we would go Self Catering....... Other than what i have reported is true.......

We spent a week here as our first family holiday with a little one, and we cannot praise it enough. Hotel was clean, well-decorated, and quiet. Fantastic location, within easy walking distance of everything you could need. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall it felt very much like a hotel that catered to children and families without sacrificing style and relaxation. We will definitely be back!

We have just arrived home after staying at this hotel,most of the staff are very pleasant and hard working apart from the restaurant manager I think his name was Louis he was very rude to me and my wife. The booking system for the themed restaurant was ridiculous you have to be in the hotel on there WiFi at 2pm to book for that night. This is ok if you like staying in the hotel and not moving. The food was terrible in the buffet restaurant it was either cold or lukewarm

A good, all round, family holiday. Our children are 4 and 2 and we travelled at the end of August. Overall, we had a good stay, the hotel was clean and comfortable, the kids pool was perfect for our boys and it never felt crazily over crowded, given we were there during peak time. The staff were all wonderful, all very helpful, polite, great energy. We felt very welcome everywhere we went. We booked the family room with sliding doors, which was perfect for us. I have only two negatives. The first is the location is a little out the way. With small children, it could take 20 or so minutes to walk to the beach, which in 30°+ felt difficult at times. This may not be an issue for the majority, but if you are looking at this hotel and have small children, its something to consider. The second, we felt the food was hit and miss. Some dishes were fantastic, others not so much. I found the roasted meat section was always very good, whereas the grill section wasn't great. However, there was a large selection of food available, you certainly would never starve and the kids always had something to eat. Overall, we had a lovely stay and the kids were really happy. I can't ask for much more than that!

Our 16th trip to this amazing hotel. Seriously, it holds such special memories for us and never fails to deliver. The refurbishments are great and the food is still as good as ever. Some treasured staff have retired and we missed them (although they did pop in to see us all) but the new youngsters taking over are just as wonderful, kind and genuinely friendly. We have made so many amazing friends here over the years and it was great to see them all again in July. This hotel ticks all of our boxes and is extremely well run by the management. Thanks for the time of our lives, yet again.

Amazing, we had a swim up pool and it didn’t disappoint, food was good always something to eat, a little on the cold side but there is a microwave which was perfect, the place is extremely clean, loved the alcohol Gordon’s gin and tonic, adult pool lovely, we went to two themed restaurants Asian and Indian absolutely loved the Indian, I wish we did longer than a week, we would definitely recommend and will go back, was worried as some of the reviews were not good before we went, please don’t listen to them, completely the opposite of what I read, we loved every minute

Visited Saturday 31st August to Saturday 7th September Travelling as a couple via a TUI all-inclusive package holiday This was our third visit to the Protur Sa Coma Playa, the last being in 2018 Outbound Flight The flight was via a subcontracted airline called Ascend. The flight was a little late in taking off which is not a problem as the flight time is only around two hours. Palma Airport and Transfer The bags were a little slow in being delivered, but we were in good time to get our transfer coach, it was easy to locate with plenty of TUI reps to assist. Unfortunately, as the coach was clearly being used by several flights, we then waited in the Palma airport carpark for over an hour! Once we set off the transfer time was around 1 hour and 15 minutes, not bad as previously this has been up 1 hour and 30 minutes. Sa Coma is a great destination, but it is a long way from the airport. Hotel check in and room Hotel check in was easy, there was only one other couple checking in from our transfer. Worth reminding that there is a tourist tax to pay, a deposit if you want to use hotel towels and also a charge to use the room safe – We paid all three. As we arrived around midday and our room would not be ready until two, so we stored our bags in the secure (locked room) and made use of our all-inclusive bands, went a got a drink, then lunch and before we knew it our room was ready. We picked up the bags and headed off to the second floor, our previous two stays at this hotel we had rooms on the ground floor. The room was great, clearly newly refurbished and had a modern feel to it. It was clean and tidy and was cleaned daily during our stay. Food As we were all-inclusive, all meals are drinks were included. Worth considering what time you wish to eat, as during the first part of our week the hotel had a lot of young families. If you wish to use the restaurant at quieter times, around 8:00 to 08:30 for Breakfast, 14:00 to 14:30 for lunch and anytime after 20:15 for dinner worked well for us. During these times we had no issues getting a table inside or out. The choice of food at breakfast was excellent, Fruits, Cereals and cooked breakfasts a plenty with a chef station doing omelettes. Lunch was a choice of various cooked offerings along with salads, cheeses and cold meats, again the chef station would be manned. Dinner was similar to lunch, but the cooked food was more elaborate with roast meats etc. Overall we found the food pretty good, although the quality of ingredients is not as good as it used to be, especially the meat which we found either incredibly fatty or extremely tough! I’d also say that the choice is very limited, ok for one week, but you would struggle to find enough variation over two! Protur could learn from other chains in this regard, better food and more variation will ultimately lead to happier visitors and less waste. Possibly try “speciality” evenings. We went AI with my disabled in - laws who both have different needs. They had an adapted room which was perfect with their own decking and sun beds . Although facing reception which had an endless stream of coaches picking up and dropping off it only added to their enjoyment watching people coming and going. The hotel was spotless and the staff were all very attentive and caring,We can’t thank them all enough a credit to Protur hotels. The pool area was really nice with no rushing for sunbeds and not too close together. The food was of premium hotel standard you could always find something tasty it was busy but nice to have an option of outside seating. We did eat out a couple of days for a change but overall the food was good quality. Some great free additional services include cycle hire, well stocked mini bar topped up daily and many sport facilities you could use around the corner. A very enjoyable break in a nice area.

I read all the reviews for this hotel because we were coming to Mallorca from Australia to spend time with our English family and celebrate my mother in laws 70th. This was the first time I did an all inclusive plus was also the first time I’ve stayed in a resort in the protur holiday chain. The reviews are very accurate but I would take the emotions that some are written with a grain of salt. Everything is adequate and I would argue at or above the standard that they are suggesting they would provide. The cocktail menu is varied and the food changes at each buffet. Our kids didn’t go to the kids club as it seemed catered to toddlers. We didn’t encounter many extra charges as mostly everything is included. My biggest issue was with Sa coma itself. The shops are all similar and the beach has a lot of cigarette buds which wasn’t great for our kids. Taxis to neighboring towns or riding a bike to them is worth it as they are very cheap and there are plenty of dining and shopping options. We didn’t know about the cheap taxis or the dining options at cala minor until the last day. Also another regret was that we didn’t hire a car. I think whilst it is nice just staying put in the resort I would’ve like to have driven for a morning or late afternoon excursion somewhere. It’s very easy to rent a car with protur and I think sa coma is screaming out that you need to go somewhere else in Mallorca.
