The new management here have taken such great care to enhance the look and feel of this motel. It’s looking and feeling lovely and fresh. We stayed in the family suite and it was very comfortable to share for two adults. Convenient location walking distance into town. Would highly recommend.

We have been annual visitors to Motel Woongarra for eight or ten years, over Regatta Weekend. We keep coming back because the place is clean and comfortable has reliable hot water, and is good value. This year it has new management who have spruced the place up so that the rooms have a freshness about them. We highly recommend.

Motel Woongarra is very clean and modern. A great place to break a long journey and near the wineries. Staff were friendly. Within easy walking distance of the various cafes and hotels in Rutherglen.

Staff were very friendly and checkin was easy. Room was large, very modern and comfortable. They are either new rooms or have been recently refurbished. Comfortable and warm queen-sized bed. Pool and barbecue are provided for guest use. Pubs and cafes are in easy walk, about a block away, including one that opens at 8am for brekky. Didn't hear any traffic noise during the night but could hear some from about 6:30am. There were some interesting shops in town worth checking out.

Without a doubt this would have to be the best motel within Rutherglen. On arrival we were immediately greeted by our host and guided to our room. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Tea/coffee provided along with normal breakfast appliances. Even though other guests were in rooms next door it was very quiet. Air conditioner kept the room cosy and warm. We would have no hesitation recommending this motel and look forward to returning. Our hosts, Sue and mark, welcomed us like members of their family.

For our 3 night stay the Motel Woongarra, Rutherglen was an excellent choice. The room was a good size, had everything we needed, very clean, a pretty new renovation, good location close to eating, drinking and shops, our host Sue was lovely and overall it was excellent value. We look forward to returning later in the year with our bikes.

Very clean and tidy hotel. The rooms we had were newly renovated with a king bed in one room and a queen in the other. The hotel is on the corner of the main road but entry is from a side street. The rooms are far enough away from the main road and are quiet. Would recommend this motel as it is very good value. We had trouble booking on the hotels website but phoned and had not trouble getting 2 rooms on a days notice.

We stayed at Motel Woongarra for the Melb Cup Weekend as a family trip. There were 11 of us in 4 rooms. The rooms were absolutely beautifully presented with everything you could need for a weekend away. Sue and Mark were absolutely brilliant hosts, as nothing was too much trouble for them. It was great having a chat to them each day about our daily travels and just life in general. They are sincerely interested in how were were enjoying Rutherglen and surrounds. We loved our stay so much, we decided to book again for next year. We cant wait! Highly Highly recommend staying at Motel Woongarra for your Rutherglen experience.

4 rooms were booked for our extended family for 3 nights for a winery escape weekend. All rooms were spotlessly clean and all facilities were in working order. Each room contained a microwave, toaster, cutlery, and plates plus tea/coffee-making facilities. The rooms were spacious with QS beds. The family room had 2 x single beds in a separate room (including its own TV) The pool was inviting but the weather was not conducive for a swim (that will have to wait until next time). The bathrooms were essentially brand new with a heat lamp and fan. The towels were of top quality. Adequate parking is available onsite and easily catered for a 12-seater minibus outside our door. A BBQ is located next to the pool with 4 tables and adequate seating. The town centre is an easy 5-minute walk away. The owners, Sue and Mark, were helpful, friendly, and only too happy to cater to any extra requests. We have already booked for 2023.
