Love the theme around the hotel, reminding me of the little mermaid. The room and balcony were really spacious. Love the view and the access to the promenade. Good gym and swimming equipments. The hotel is urge so going to rooms can be quite a trek. Staff was very welcoming and helpful trying their best speaking English or via translating apps. Breakfast was amazing: Chinese and Western options. There is nothing around the hotel in terms of shops but there is a mall about 10 mins by car. Ordering food takes minimum 50 mins. Make sure to ask them to deliver it at the lobby desk, otherwise, it’ll go in the box outside. For first timers, it can be difficult to access the order. Very far from the city centre, but a good quiet and relaxing option for a staycation. A lot of maritime activities available: canoeing, diving and boats etc.

It's a beautiful hotel, the rooms and service is really amazing. The bed is comfortable and I enjoyed my stay. The food was just fine and the location is far from downtown and there isn't much around the hotel.

Great experience, lovely staff, spacious rooms, an amazing view and high quality facilities. I did enjoy the swimming pool and relaxing sauna. Breakfasts were also delicious!

Overall the hotel staff and service are 4 star. What makes the hotel 5 Star are the rooms and facilities. It is clean, safe, and well maintained. To be fair, I did arrive in early April during the off-season but I was not impressed with the service provided. Staff was consistently difficult to find, or would be crowded all in the lobby. Check-In and Check out was easy and the staff are very nice. International guests be aware, few to no staff speak English or communicate in any other language. The breakfast was not good. Cold and hard food, empty plates, drinks and foods not being refilled, and then having the lights turned off after breakfast was finished being served. Few selections, mainly cheap foods and breads. There are no staff outside, during my time there. No bell hops, no one to guide you to the front desk (Because it is not easy to find at first), no one to help with your luggage. A single staff member stands at the front of the lobby after you enter to greet you. Positives - The room was spacious and very clean. It had most things I needed and the quality of the room and bathroom was excellent. The balcony looked over the courtyard and the ocean which people can see you if you go out but was a nice addition. The island the hotel is on has everything close by and most taxis/Didi’s will pick you up within five minute The area has been developing for many years and is getting better each year. The Qingdao Beer Festival ground are close by (about 30 minutes drive) during the summer, but most activities are in the city about one hour drive away for the rest of the year. For this hotel, the room and facilities are the focus as they are well taken care of and maintained. I am not sure if I would return.

a wonderful resort with good breakfast and service. nice to relax and there is a very big mall and beaches not too far away, although you probably want to take a taxi to most places.

Nice clean fancy royal hotel , breakfast is just so so as not so many western choices but still ok , a bit far from the crowd and city center , if you have a car it’s about an hr driving .

Good view, there is a park below where you can take some photos together and there are some small animals like rabbit and goat. The place is abit isolated but you can easily book didi around the area to travel out. You can also approach the staffs to get some veg to feed them. The staffs also deliver fruits for us every night. We have a pleasant stay. Will recommend you to book.

Large clean rooms. Great service by English speaking staff member (male), he really went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible

The executive lounge and spa were not in service and the breakfast wasn’t that good but the view and room itself was great.

The first time I stayed in Mandarin Hotel, the experience was great! We have stayed in other hotels on the island, and finally chose the Mandarin Hotel. Special thanks to the front desk manager Stella and her team, who are very professional, especially helped us to choose the room, and even upgraded it. The view of the sea is great! The service is very warm, friendly and considerate, the price is right, the introduction of the hotel is also very detailed, the hotel parking is very convenient, the lobby is very beautiful, beautiful, like being in a sea world! The rooms are large and clean! The balcony view of the sea effect is very good!
