Especially for those who will only going to stay for a short trip because you will not waste your time going to the point of interest of Marseille because it is at the heart of the tourist area. The view from the room is gorgeous and worth the money. Restaurants and souvenir shops are lining up the area. Based on my limited stay I learn that Marseilles can give up different vibes only in a few block so the location of the hotel made me more comfortable. The AC works properly and there is an elevator. I believe there is also a car parking service but I don’t use it. The receptionists are professionals and helpful.

TTài khoản kháchHotel has nice decorated hall, bar and private parking. Staff at the reception was polite and often did their best answering our requests, but sometimes they were more eager to explain us all the rules and cared not much.
Bar closed around 10 pm. It was not a restaurant, most of the dishes from menu were absent and there were not much to eat at all.
There were no bathrobe and slippers which is pretty not standard for 4 star hotel.
Breakfast was not good. Everyday was one sort of ham, sausages and scrambled eggs, croissants and yogurt with fruits. It always ended at 10. Not even longer on weekend.
Staff at the breakfast was so arrogant. I felt superfluous.
Cleaning was okey, but very chaotic, they always forgot black tea or towel or paper or etc. Always pushing reading lights into pillows - this is crazy.
Room, bed, pillows, bathroom, tea facilities were convenient. Nice pictures of Marseilles, nice colors of the furniture. A/c was good, but not the coldest, though we were in the hot period where it was 40 outside. Windows are not big, no balconies, so it is a little bit gloomy. Shower and wc worked good.
There was grocery shop just around the corner and shopping mall.
Hotel has strange location though everything seems close on the map, in fact we never walked even to the Old Port, because for us it was too much walking.
But it was convenient to use a car with private parking. This made our trip really good.

DDakota PuiTo be honest, we were quite disappointed with how old the room is. The vibe is very dull and even the air-conditioner looks like it was from the 90s. But the good thing is they have their private parking (need to pay another €15 per day) so that we can park our car inside and feel safer. However, I dont think we will be back the next time. The pictures we seen online are totally different lol.

TTài khoản kháchSecond stay at this hotel. Convenient for when traveling to / from the cruise port or airport. The hotel itself is very nice, small but great character and good facilities. We had a double floor mezzanine family room. Great room with comfy beds, clean, good amenities and nice bathroom, fridge, coffee machine etc so everything you need. There are two big downsides to this hotel that are out of their control. The old big French doors / windows look great but are not good at all for sound. We were on the 5th floor and heard cars, sirens, mopeds and people until the early hours and this does impact sleep. The second thing is the area, not a pleasant place at night. Lots of
Homeless, rough sleepers and not a welcoming place. For us, simply going there to sleep and be comfortable and have a nice room it was good and we’d stay again, but it is expensive when you consider the area and noise at night vs some other better located hotels in Marseille

樹樹達The location is excellent just across Gare Marseille St. Charles. Hotel room is spacious, with AC, hair dryer and electric kettle. Linen is very clean. Bathroom is very neat. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast served with various types of cold cut, cereals, bakeries, fruit salad, juice, milk, soy milk, coffee. I stayed for 3 nights and breakfast menu throughout was the same. No bottled water was provided in the room but it wasn't an issue to us. Free water machine is provided at the hotel lobby.Room wasn't tided up daily but I trust they are willing to do so if guests requested. Overall it was a pleasant stay and will recommend to friends.

WWilliamgray81This place is nice for a night. Not really near anything of importance, but if needing a place to stay before heading to the airport it's ideal. Near some restaurants in a seemingly dodgy part of town. The parking is a bit odd. I got stuck in the private parking for the apartment complex next door. When going into the parking stay to the left side. There's a nice pool and dining area to relax. Rooms are of great size and comfort. Very affordable in terms of a Crowne Plaza. Very good staff, was given a free upgrade. I highly recommend.

TTài khoản kháchWe stayed in Sofitel Marseille for 3 nights in the summer of 2023.
The hotel is located right on the periphery of the old port of Marseille where all the shops and restaurants are located. It takes about a 15-minute walk to get from the hotel all the way to the centre of the old port so the hotel is fairly insulated from the hustle and bustle of the old port. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the interiors feel very fresh, clean and bright.
We upgraded our room to a deluxe room facing the old port at the reception and we thought it was worth it. We never tired of waking up to a view of the old port with a clear blue sky. The room itself was quite clean and spacious. There was enough room to open up two luggages and still move around comfortably. There is also a turn down service where the staff will put out the bedroom slippers and play some nice Jazz music when you come back.
The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning would turn off in the middle of the night. The air conditioning control did not seem to work and it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so the in-room controls did nothing. I could not sleep the first night as it was too warm and stuffy so we asked for a ventilateur (fan) the next day. That helped us to sleep better. Obviously, if you are planning to stay during the winter months then the heat at night should not be an issue.
The staff at the reception were always pleasant, warm, friendly and polite. We were upsold the room with a view when we checked in so that should say something about how friendly the staff were. It was EUR70 per night for the room with a view and it included overnight parking (EUR27 per night) so it was really only about EUR50 extra per night. The valet and the concierge were all very helpful and nice and they all speak English well enough.
If you intend to park here, do note that the roads within the hotel property can be quite narrow and the parking lots are quite narrow as well. It may be worthwhile getting the valet to help you park your car at least for the first day because driving from the car rental agencies at the Marseille train station to the hotel was stressful enough for us.
We paid around EUR300 - 350 a night but we thought it was worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

AAspieDuring this trip, I was fortunate enough to choose this hotel as my resting place, and it certainly gave me an unforgettable stay.
First of all, the check-in process is extremely convenient. I arrived at the hotel a full two hours ahead of the expected check-in time, but the front desk staff did not the slightest inconvenience or evasion, but in a very warm attitude for me to check in quickly. Secondly, the room itself is large and comfortable to live in, and offers a wide variety of kitchenware and cutlery.
All in all, convenient check-in, warm service, comfortable room, a perfect experience beyond expectations!
