The strong water pressure and hot water in the shower was exactly what we needed after a long deove from Tromso. The bed was soft and room was big enough for us. Breakfast was beautiful, so nicely done. If you stay here, highly recommended you make breakfast.

The building is not looking good outside, but hotel is very good! Room was nice looking, beds were good, there was clean in the room. No free parking. Breakfast was very great and delicious. I warmly recommend this hotel and will definetely come back. Staff was great, good service.

Lovely and friendly staff! The breakfast is amazing, with cooked options including bacon and pancakes, and a buffet with loads of variety. There’s free cake, tea and coffee available and the room was very comfortable. The location is also really good, as it’s close to Narvik bus station. Easily the best hotel we stayed in in Norway!

We stayed at the Wivel Hotel for 8 nights using it as a base for ski touring. We found the staff all very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel itself is warm and welcoming, I would say the bedrooms are on the small side If sharing a room, perfect if not, bathrooms are modern and well equipped. Breakfasts are a combination of a hot dish cooked to order from the menu and a well set out buffet. Hot drinks are available near the reception all day. The Bistro restaurant downstairs and accessed directly from the Hotel is quite exceptional, great food beautifully presented, we dined there all week. The local ski centre is easily accessed via the ski bus and the opportunities for ski touring in the area are excellent, hire car needed for that. Would I go back, absolutely.

The budget double room was located on the third floor (no elevator?). The room was small, but functional. The room had only a roof window, which could also be opened wide. The bed springs rattled with even the slightest movement, but otherwise the room was good. The breakfast selection was limited, but still good. Breakfast was served in the same space as the reception. There was also coffee, tea and some cake in the evening.

This is a pretty basic hotel in an unattractive town. It seemed there was only one employee about and she acted as receptionist and breakfast provider. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was okay but the atmosphere was strained. Maybe our impressions of Narvik were coloured by the awful weather but I’m not sure

Nice and clean hotel. The room was very small and we could hear the noise of the street and other guests. The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is located across from the war museum.

Impossible to check in before 15.00 sharp ! Check out 11.00 SHARP ! if not the staff go inside your room and shout at you after 3 minutes !!!! The staff obviously have NO education in hotel management or understand customer service at all.

This hotel is great for a short stay that does not exceed 2 nights. It provides very basic amenities you need if you are staying here for a short period of time. I stayed here for 10 days with my partner, but think we could have gotten something better as the hotel is not as full-service as other nearby hotels. If you stay here for a long period of time, keep in mind that bedrooms and bathrooms are not cleaned every day. They only clean in between each new guest. Your sheets will not be changed everyday, nor will you get new towels. You have to ask for new towels, and it isn't given you'll get all the towels you need. It felt like pulling teeth for pretty basic hotel service. The rooms do not have any shelving or dressers to store your clothes in (2/5 stars). The breakfast is good (3/5 stars for that). It is simple, but you have enough variety to change it up every couple days. It consists of bread, cold cuts, cold salads, watermelon, and cheese. Hot foods, which were normally actually cold or (at best) luke-warm, consisted of eggs, frittata, waffles, and potatoes with sausage. There was also cereal and oats. They ran out of a lot of food one of the days we were there. The location is great (5/5 stars for that). Very central location where you are surrounded by all the stores, malls, museums, and restaurants Narvik has to offer. For that I would definitely stay here for a shorter trip or if I was passing through. Provides easy access to a lot of things in the town of Narvik. Staff is very friendly (5/5 stars for that). Also, there are no staff at the hotel during night time.

Hotel only a few minutes from railway. Great value included breakfast which was excellent. The staff very welcoming and room very clean and comfortable. Local shops around and you may be lucky to see northern lights. The hotel put a very handy local guide in the room. Will definitely return and recommend
