Bed & Breakfast Medea

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the b&b while in Naples and when we pulled back the sheets we discovered numbers long black hairs (I’m a redhead and my bf has short hair) all over the bed sheets, pillows and duvet. As well as numerous smaller hairs and dirt and stains. The floor was also filthy we were in white socks and bare foot and when we looked at our feet they were covered in dirt. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. The staff didn’t care at all. We booked through a booking website and the b&b told the booking site we never checked in so we would not be able to leave a review! DO NOT STAY HERE!

This was our first visit of Napoli. When I came to "centro storico" close to our accomodation around Saturday midnight I was somehow shocked and did not feel very comfortable. Imagine very, but really very narrow streets with very high buildings ( some of them 5-6 storeys ), everything gray/black, all buildings painted by graffiti ..., indeed not nice view. And hundreds or even thousands of mainly young people outside so that was very difficult to go through. And bigggg noise of the people and small scooters. I thought - my gosh, how we will be able to sleep in such environment. We went into the small yard through big massive doors, reminding the fortress, than through other barred entrance into the house, took the lift ( we really had to pay 10 cents per journey) and through another massive doors got into the B&B. The receptionist showed us our room and suddenly we felt like in another world. Spacy room with the doors to lovely terrace giving private space sorrounded by green plants. And quiet ! We even could sleep with the doors open to the terrace. Incredible difference from the outside world. The room was cleaned daily, perfect ! The key advice for some travellers - if you want to stay in the hotel in Centro storico and sleep, make sure that you are given the room facing inner yards and NOT the streets. Unless you accept to have the windows closed and air con on. Medea and its Superior room with the terrace is really great option !!! I am not sure about other rooms ! However - I got used to the style of the living in this part of Napoli and it was in the end very nice and special experience. But deffinitely not for sleeping..... The reception staff was nice, the young man was very helpfull giving us some good advices, we even could leave the luggage in the storey antil afternoon the day we were leaving.

La struttura si trova nel cuore pulsante di Napoli, a pochi passi da Spaccanapoli. Stanza spaziosissima con tutti i confort la camera dove ho alloggiato io era nuova appena ristrutturata , molto grande ,bella e con un terrazzo spettacolare nonostante la posizione centralissima, non si sentiva nessun rumore dalla camera.|

Ho prenotato una camera in questo B&B perché colpita dalla terrazza con piante e sedute varie, ma quando siamo arrivati sul posto, oltre ad averci fatto cambiare la camera un paio d’ore prima del nostro arrivo, ci siamo ritrovati dentro una camera che puzzava di fumo, sicuramente pulita in modo grossolano e per più la porta non si chiudeva a chiave da dentro…ah dimenticavo, la colazione è molto blanda, mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio visto che la camera non era quella che avevamo prenotato, niente cornetti, niente sfogliatelle ma solo 3 tipi di torte sempre uguali, un solo tipo di succo di frutta, pane in cassetta cioè non fresco lasciato dentro la busta originale, per quanto riguarda il salato c’era solo il prosciutto cotto dentro la confezione e la scamorza a fette, sempre dentro la confezione in plastica. Nel rassettare la camera non fanno il cambio asciugamani e per chi soggiorna più di qualche giorno è uno schifo… Si salva per la sua posizione centrale.

La struttura è ubicata a spaccanapoli cuore pulsante di napoli,luogo ottimale per visitare tutti i siti più importanti di Napoli,non hai bisogno di mezzi,tutto è raggiungibile a piedi.E'tutto ben tenuto,gli spazi sono confortevoli e puliti,la colazione abbondante,noi ci siamo trovati come in famiglia e per questo vogliamo ringraziare di cuore Luca Marco ed i due ragazzi addetti alla colazione,persone deliziose e di grande aiuto,ve lo consigliamo vivamente,se avremo la fortuna di ritornare in questa fantastica città, noi torneremo al Medea.un abbraccio da Rosy Carmelo da Taormina

Nous avons été logés dans l’annexe de l’hôtel à quelques rues. L’emplacement est très intéressant et l’accueil chaleureux . Mais la chambre était aveugle (aucune fenêtre sur l’extérieur), sentait mauvais, le ménage était limite….( douche bouchée,bonde pleine de cheveux), la literie de basse qualité. Le petit déjeuner sans intérêt: charcuteries sous vide, jus de fruit préparé avec de la poudre, gâteaux industriels, pas de chocolat chaud….) le prix est excessif pour la prestation. Nous ne recommandons pas du tout!
