Homewood Suites by Hilton Munster

Room spacious and clean, bed very comfortable. TV placement a little weird but we worked it out. Unacceptable: TV defaults to Fox News Channel whenever turned on. If people want to watch that, it’s their choice, but don’t shove it down our throats. By the way, room could use a printed channel guide. Can’t find clear listings via TV. Staff excellent and often goes above and beyond, recognizing we’re older with mobility challenges, as did the design of our bathroom. Great personnel includes the front desk and the breakfast attendants. Unfortunately, breakfast entrees blah and often gone cold. Coffee inconsistent tending toward bad. (Better at Hampton Inn next door.) We asked in a timely manner today — twice— for partial housekeeping service: fresh towels, replenish TP, empty trash. Never happened. Bagged our own and emergency TP roll from Walgreens on standby, On balance, we still might come again if we were in this area, but hope for improvement.

We stayed one night while we judging for a competition. The suite was so beautiful, we wished we could stay! All the staff was warm and welcoming. Everything in the suite was clean and fresh. There is an amazing buffet breakfast. We highly recommend!

The poor area was dirty to the point where they had to drain the pool while we were there.

When we arrived on Thanksgiving day November 23, 2023 the manager I believe his name was Joe made me aware that several guests in my party were moved to the hotel across the street the Hampton Inn because this particular hotel was oversold. The rooms that were moved were comped but it was an extremely unpleasant inconvenience as we were all expecting to be at the same hotel particularly this one because they all have kitchenettes and large refrigerators as we are celebrating our Thanksgiving dinner and needed the kitchenettes to prepare and store some of the food and the Hampton Inn does not offer this. Not to mention we all had so much to transport back and forth in the cold when we all expected to be in the same hotel and didn’t have to worry about this as we’ve had this planned since July. We had a total of 15 rooms and 8 rooms were moved. Several guests had to travel back and forth in the freezing cold all day after getting in and out of the pools etc. This was just an extreme inconvenience as every year for the last 6 years we’ve rented out a hotel with a kitchenette and the conference room so our family can spend Thanksgiving together and this year it was completely ruined. On top of it all my room was filthy.

This was a nice spot breakfast was good room was good quietness was good location was good no complaints from me

Very dirty. Carpet noticeably dirty with lots of stains and different type of crusty food, some may even have been old puke. Everything was very dusty. Kitchen and dinning area overall dirty and hard floor was sticky when we walked in. This property gives Hilton a bad name.

My spouse and I traveled to visit family and decided to room here. No complaints at all. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The area is safe and clean. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast selections were convenient and appreciated. Minutes away from the south suburbs of Illinois and a short drive to the city. Right by the expressway. I’d recommend this location for those seeking a clean, safe, comfortable place to stay.

This was close to family we were visiting and close to shopping and food.
