This place is simply VIP class, what a place! From the moment you arrive you dont want to leave! The check in was so special, with Tiago showing us around and letting us choose our room. The facilities are incredible as is the food. A special mention to Vesna who looked after us throughout our stay and was incredible. The added bonus was Divo the pet donkey who wanders the orchard. What a character!! Simply, I dont say this lightly, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. So classy, so friendly and outstanding food and amenities. A gem of a place and we will be back soon

The hotel was beautiful and tranquil, clean, great food and in a peaceful area near to the beach. The rooms were large and comfortable, great bathrooms. There was a nice small gym and yoga studio. The staff were so incredibly helpful, I can’t recommend higher.

Great place to stay, the place was lovely and clean, staff very helpful and friendly and excellent location. I loved chilling on the roof top and being by pool. There was a wounderful Yiga retreat on with lots of interesting women attending. The Food was excellent ... as I was looking for place to chill and have good healthy food. Highly recommend it. Plenty to see and do in area. Suggest a few bikes on site that one could borrow.

Just stayed at the beautiful Boutique Health Hotel, Solar Alvura, nestled in the untouched beauty of the eastern Algarve. They offer a range of health and wellness retreats but I enjoyed my freedom and created my own schedule, enjoying time by the pool which overlooks the orange grove, the DELICIOUS fresh meals and the local walks. I also had a well-needed massage at the beautifully appointed Spa. This property provides such a relaxing ambience, with well designed spaces and extremely comfortable rooms with crisp bedsheets. A hotel with health and wellness as it’s core ethos. From the moment I arrived until departure Solar Alvura exceeded my expectations. Dr Eva welcomed, cared for and nurtured me along with her team, especially Vesna who was so kind and helpful and we had great chats. I highly recommend this hotel.

A truly special place. Beautiful property, scenic snd serene, inviting public area with a fire place, lovely pool area, great patio (which we dined on for breakfast), cozy room with a nice bathroom. We enjoyed the location as within 20-30 minutes could get to Tavira and surrounding area with ease. But, we loved loved loved the staff. Vesna (see photo) greeted us and showed us around, made great lattes, was helpful at breakfast, and was genuine, friendly, and a lovely human. Tiago (see photo) was delightful too and was accommodating, and very friendly too, and he helped out at breakfast also. Also had enjoyable, spa services from a nice fellow thats was quite skilled at reflexology. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a holistically uplifting stay, with excellent service, at a fair price.

Everything was superb! I had the most wonderful time at Solar Alvura. It was perfect in every way; from the welcoming Tiago provided, my beautiful room with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, the healthy and delicious food, the spa treatments (thank you Pedro), the gardens, sitting by the beautiful fire in the evenings laughing and chatting. The pool area and terrace overlooking the orange grove are a delight too. Davio the donkey is a beautiful and friendly boy. I had so much fun and met the most wonderful people, those who worked at the hotel and guests. A wonderful, special haven with a very special Team headed up by Dr Eva. Thank you all A Dr Eva, Tiago, Claudia, Vesna, our chef, Olessa and the gardener/driver… sorry, I can’t remember his name!

Could not reccomend this place more highly! The atmosphere, food and staff are exceptional. We enjoyed PT sessions, hikes, sea swims, multiple treatments and sensational food. You feel like a guest in a beautiful home rather than a hotel. Everything is done generously and with love and care. I'll be back!

I was at a yoga retreat in Solar Alvura two weeks ago it was my second visit this year. Dr Eva and her staff are so friendly and welcoming I feel like it's a home from home. The food was delicious very fresh and healthy I have tried to entice the chef Edgar to return to Ireland with me but he loves working with Dr Eva and I can see why she is so dedicated to her work there and truly cares about every guest and their needs. She rescued a donkey from a nearby field while I was there and I can assure you he is not tied up and left on the property. She loves this animal and walks him daily and all the staff take care of him so well he's living his best life. The yoga teacher Sylvia flew in from Dublin I never did yoga before but she was so lovely and also a very caring person just like all the staff at this beautiful resort in Portugal. What sets this retreat apart is the staff and Dr Eva and Wyatts dedication to ensuring you have a fabulous stay. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I am planning a trip back soon.

I have had one of the best experiences and most enjoyable holiday and been looked after like a Vip by All the Team and Dr Eva I would highly recommend to everyone to come and enjoy this is a beautiful place and Divo the Donkey who was rescued is well cared for by all here and is such a beautiful and happy Donkey and Friendly. Thank you for the lovely room in which I stayed in during my time here and the welcome and care which was given to me and all my needs and more catered for if I could give more then 5 stars I would Kevin McCormick
