Evoke Destin Hotel

If you’re going to offer free breakfast it needs to be more than one type of cereal and some muffins. Also, the parking area is super unlit and doesnt feel safe. Other than that the pool was nice. The room was good and spacious. I never really saw any employees.

My only complaint was the breakfast. They only had coffee and milk to drink. No juice or water. Very few food choices. The second morning, they didn't even have milk. They did have chocolate milk, but my husband said it was on the verge of going bad.

This hotel was an option based on price and location for a weekend getaway with my 11yr old daughter for Fall break. She was accustomed to family trips and staying in condos. It’s just the two of us now, so I was afraid to stay in a hotel, especially a “cheap” one and let her down. I decided to pay extra for free cancellation based on the recent negative reviews. Well, I should have booked the cheaper rates. It was a great stay! The staff was warm and welcomed us. The beds were comfortable and the room had modern beach decor. The location is great. The outlet mall is two minutes away. The hotel shares the same lot with Fat Boy’s, a seafood restaurant, and pizzeria. You basically drive in the Dunkin Donuts drive thru to access hotel parking. Other restaurants are in the area. The beach is too far to walk to, but it was a five minute drive. About breakfast. I drink black coffee so I ignored the negative reviews. At check in, the host said that they serve a light breakfast such as cereal, fruit, and muffins. We decided to check it out the following morning. There were pre-packaged breakfast items such as sausage/egg croissants, breakfast burritos, miniature sausage biscuits, ham/egg croissants, Belgium waffles. Also, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, Yoo-hoo milk, Sunny D. No waiting in line for waffle irons or everyone handling the food which I appreciate. My daughter loved the hotel and wants to stay in the future. She didn’t have a negative thing to say which was all I wanted.

I enjoyed the property, it was clean and didn't have a foul smell, however the AC was not working properly. We had to turn it down to like 65-67 degrees for it to get cold in the room. Staff was very pleasant and helpful especially the lady at the front desk. No breakfast selection the next day so we just checked out of our rooms.

I was really disappointed in the breakfast. On review of hotel there was suppose to be a bigger breakfast. Having coffee and milk only and muffins and orange or Apple doesn’t help when going on a long trip. I paid way too much money for not having at least a hot breakfast. When I did complain at front desk she could have listened to me instead of answering the phone.

We had the pleasure staying at this hotel and I have to say this has been the most beautiful experience. The rooms and hotel overall is very clean. We have to express our gratitude to the front desk and housekeeping. Especially to Miranda, Natasha and Everet. These 3 ladies are holding it down always very polite, hands on, professional, funny to chat with and always ready to help wherever they can. A huge shout out to the housekeeping team as well. They were very welcoming and assisted us with our laundry and any cleaning requests. We really loved and enjoyed staying at this hotel! They made us feel like family!!! Can’t wait to come back soon!

If you want something cheap and good near to the beach restaurant and stores this hotel is perfect, the staff are very helpful and friendly, I will be back again

I didn’t find anything wrong with this facility. However, I did find it at a cheaper rate, and Miranda was nice enough to try to help me. The only suggestion I would have is to have more items during breakfast hours. Many people depend on that breakfast. It is one of the main reasons when I choose a hotel.

It wasn't as pleasant as it seems. We had roaches in the room went and told lady at desk and she just says its Florida so you will have them. And when i booked they took 70.$ out of my account and didn't credit me back for it plus took 50$ for a holding and never got back.
