SS CortinaWe were looking for a hotel near our family. We received a suggestion from Trip.com to take a gander at La Quinta Inn & Suites Sea World. The price offered for our lengthy stay was unbeatable elsewhere. I read the reviews and had a few concerns, but you just never know. Now, what I am about to mention I do not say lightly because I travel extensively. We arrived at the hotel after an exhaustive travel day on the road. We were greeted by a young lady named Samantha. She was probably the best front desk clerk that I have ever encountered. She was inviting, respectful and welcoming to La Quinta. She asked how our day was and assured us that our stay would be as comfortable as she could make it. She explained everything and directed us to the elevators. As we walked away, she reminded us to call on her if we encountered any issues and wished us a good night. The hotel was clean and safe. I woke up during the night and looked outside the window to check on my vehicle. I found a security vehicle stationed at the entrance of the property. This was good to see and put me at peace. The only issues that I had was the coffee and the room. I found the coffee to be Luke warm to cold on two occasions in the morning. As for the room, the hotel was a non smoking hotel, but I swear someone had previously smoked in the room. The aroma wasn't too bad but I could tell. It was tolerable but unfortunate. You trust visitors to follow the rules but not all can be controlled. A huge thanks to the best front desk clerk Samantha who checked in on us during our week visit. Thank you!

TTài khoản kháchThe hotel itself is very nice, and the valet and bellhop staff were exceptionally friendly. The location is excellent, right on the Riverwalk, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure; however, if you’re tall, the shower head placement is not ideal—my husband is 5’10” and had to duck to use it.
We would consider staying again, but on our last morning the toilet clogged and overflowed onto the floor. This was frustrating, especially since very little toilet paper had been used. Most people would consider a toilet overflow an urgent issue that requires immediate attention. We called for assistance, but no one ever came. It seemed as though staff assumed they could wait since we had a couple of hours before checkout, which was disappointing. As a result, my husband had to go to the ground floor to use the restroom, and we had to navigate around toilet water on the bathroom floor while getting ready.

TTài khoản kháchKhách sạn có độ sạch sẽ tạm ổn, bữa sáng cũng được, bánh kếp rất ngon, nhưng giá cả thì không hề rẻ. Phòng ban đầu tôi được bố trí gần một quán bar, và lúc 2 giờ sáng thì ồn ào đến nỗi tôi không ngủ được. Sau khi báo cho lễ tân, tôi được đổi phòng khác, và từ đó về đêm thì rất yên tĩnh – tuyệt vời! San Antonio là một thành phố nhỏ rất thư thái với giá cả phải chăng, và khu vực đi bộ dọc bờ sông khá đẹp.

RRebecca 蕊贝卡DONT BOOK IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP! Came back to visit family for the holidays, and stayed at this hotel because we have stayed here many times in the past and it has always been one of the cleaner hotels in town. It was always a pleasant, quiet stay in one of the nicer hotels outside the downtown area. But It has changed management, and it is no longer a relaxful stay. I expected families with children running loudly down the halls because it is close to SeaWorld. What I did not expect was music being played through loudspeakers by the pool as early as 8 AM on some days going on until 10:30 in the evening on weeknights. I even called downstairs multiple times one evening when I wasn’t feeling well and was told that there was nothing they could do. I heard a baby crying in the next room while music blared at 10 o’clock at night, which is just inappropriate on a Tuesday. So if you have young children or are traveling on business or just simply want a good nights sleep, look elsewhere.

TTài khoản kháchAlthough the hotel was in a location we needed and was a great price, our stay was impacted by the hotel’s inability to have a room ready for us one and a half hours after check in time. We had a function to attend that night and drove in for it but needed to clean up and dress for the occasion. They told us it would be at least 30 minutes to an hour to have a room ready and possibly longer. We notified trips.com and they made a phone call to try to speed up the process but were told the same thing. We looked for a hotel in the same area but no rooms were available on a Saturday night and last minute (understandable). Just as we were resigned to making an unfavorable decision, we checked back with the hotel and they were able to give us a room (just not what we reserved) that worked. I was also disappointed that the manager never showed his face at the counter when multiple people were there dealing with the same issue. Made the clerk at the front desk deal with unhappy customers.

Homeless people just around the corner, and that made us a little uneasy... but they seemed to keep to themselves and posed no immediate threat. Wallpaper peeling in multiple places, shower curtain torn at 2 places where attached to the shower rod, wires under AC exposed and could pose a tripping hazard. The room is dark, with 4 lamps and one wall light by the door. The lamps just lit the room somewhat. The bathroom lights were also dull.
Beds were comfy. Shower was nice, needed a slip mat though. View out the back windows was awful.
And on Thursday nights and maybe the weekend, there's an outdoor band playing right next door, loud enough to keep you awake into early hours.
Only 1 of the 2 elevators was operating, and it broke down twice on two different days. The staff was very quick at getting it fixed, and it seems this is a common occurrence with a note on the wall giving a warning.
Breakfast was good, but bacon would have been nice.
The staff was amazing, sweet, and considerate of our needs. If you don't mind ”not new”, then this hotel would be nice for you.
