Hotel Servigroup Calypso

Un fin de semana excelente muy limpio , muy buena atencion y muy buen desayuno.

Visiting on Wednesday and Sunday for Sequence dancing in the evening. Carlos is an excellent keyboard player and plays some of my favourite tunes to dance for sequence dancing. He mixes Ballroom and Line Dancing in his set so there is something for everyone. On Friday Chema plays a mix of recorded tracks for ballroom, Sequence and Line dancing.

Another fabulous stay at this wonderful hotel ! I really can't say enough about it , the staff ,everyone of them goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and you feel like your on holiday with friends .The food is exceptional and every meal we had was a delight .The rooms could do with a little upgrading but this is minimal compared with every positive this hotel has to offer and most of the guests are repeat guests that have been many, many times before it is by far my favourite hotel in Benidorm

Used the Calypso Terazza for drinks and entertainment by Shaun Elliot Wed, Fri and Sundays. Really good light hearted entertainment. Bar staff excellent, particularly Lawrence and Marko. Free tapas with drinks. Can recommend for a good afternoon.

We arrived at the hotel early and entered the reception area this was clean modern and we were told our room was ready.. so leaving reception to find our room we had high hopes. We entered our room and found 2 single beds. I rang reception they said that’s all we do.. we were also supposed to have a pool view, which we did of the hotel next to ours. As we got freshened up I put the TV on didn’t work. The room was very tired and everything was dated. Considering the hotel and restaurant area was modern and clean. I did expect more. Staff friendly and the pool was nice/ small but a nice place to cool off. Then there is the pool bar. I ordered two ( not 4/6/8) 2 large vodka slushes .. and I was told once poured that will be €23.80 and that’s without him smiling the barmen. I’m standing in front of of him with a €20 note and I don’t have enough ( disgusting value) so be warned that the hotel drinks are so so so over priced. and that’s why no body and I mean no body drinks in the bar at night. Moan over, location spot on.

Been to this hotel about four times, my mother who I went with has been about fifteen times. The pros for this hotel are it is lovely and clean and in a central position. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is good, we stayed full board. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds and you don't have to queue to get one. The DJ round the pool on Saturday was good, playing a variety of music. There was live music also round the pool on Sunday. Shaun and Charlotte's pool parties were enjoyable and entertaining, you could either join in the fun or just watch. The blue glass on the Annex balconies is a great addition . The cons are some sound proofing needs adding to the rooms in the Annex, you can hear everything in the adjourning rooms. Some of the entertainment in the Terrace Bar is not very good, same old. The hotel seems to be letting in groups of lads and girls which has never been Servi Groups policy. Some of them were very rowdy and had no respect for other guests especially round the pool and late at night. I know from speaking to other guests that they are put off by this. Come on Servi Group rethink your policy, there are plenty of hotels in Benidorm that cater for groups, the Calypso doesn't need to be one of them.

Just back today had requested room on front as had stayed about 4 times before and it was fine but this time noise levels were unbelievable until about 5 am even though bars closed lots drunk ppl screaming too if their voices ( not hotels fault) Think there are new bars opened across road ( we don’t go to bed early and do have a drink but still couldn’t get sleep cotton wool in ears too lol ) aside from that great hotel pool area good fab staff food very good although extremely slow filling trays up so lots times popular food runs out bit disappointed if was something you wanted Good choice of food full board excellent value very clean hotel and very central Three of us and all had lots probs with the key cards working too sun beds getting. Very old and tatty need upgrading

Had a 4 night stay here location great rooms clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely plenty of selection. Rooms had very good air conditioning and a free safety deposit box. Pool area was a good size and clean and tidy. Will definitely stay here again.

This 3star hotel is outstanding, food is well beautiful something for everyone, always red hot and clean too, the cleanliness in again superb! The bedroom are a little need of update but clean everyday clean towels too. The pool is spacious and always beds to get, pool is great, now the entertainment is the down point for this, Shaun who does stuff around the pool is absolutely terrible, he can't sing, microphone always cutting out, outdated games, always shouting at is daughter who does the music, honestly it's crap! The dj on a Saturday around the pool was fine wasn't loud and played mixture for everyone.... get rid of SHAUN...ASAP.... also the big screen around pool needs a new one, flickering and half a picture, we went out for football...
