Hotel & Restaurant Burgschänke

The wife and I spent a week here while visiting family. The experience was all that we hoped it would be. We wanted to stay at a place with a local, historical ambiance. When we arrived we first noticed the dining area outside. It appeared as a upscale sidewalk cafe. Entering the building to register one steps back in time. There is a fireplaces bar/dining room complete with a suit of armor. The room was very clean but it is small. Outside one of our windows was the steeple of the local Catholic Church. The church comes complete with bells that toll ever 15 minutes until 10:00 PM. I thought the bells were awesome but some people may not care for them. The breakfast each morning was great and unusual to me. Cold cuts and cheeses for breakfast surprised me, but what a concept! It was great. We ate several meals at the restaurant and they were all exceptional. A dry aged steak was done to perfection and of course there is schnitzel and bratwurst. The absolute best aspect of Burgschänke is the people. The people working at Burgschänke seem to enjoy each other. The people seem to work well together and they maintained smiles no matter how rushed. As a customer, you hope the wait staff is pleasant with you but this wait staff were pleasant with each other. The people and the place provide a really nice experience.

The hotel restaurant was very poor, the menu was extremely basic with very little choice , the reservation time was moved to suite the staff. in comparison to previous visits, limited menu and poor quality food., the service was questionable The room was clean, but very basic

Es war ein wahrer Genuss! Der Service sowie die Küche sind einfach allen Ansprüchen gerecht geworden! Sie waren immer umsichtig obwohl ein paar unserer Kinder echt verrückt waren! Ein riesiges Lob für die Küche die es geschafft hat alles schnell und heiß sowie lecker zu uns zu bringen. Wir waren 21 Personen nur als kleine Hinweis. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team!
