Restaurant - total scam pricing. The food is just not that good... the price you pay is for the location and the view... however the service and food is not worth it!! Stay Away!

It’s a calm and stylish spot to start the day. The view does most of the work — you don’t need to do much. The burrata was fresh and well-balanced, the sourdough nicely toasted. I liked the matcha, though it came a bit too iced — I’d go for it hot next time. Service wasn’t fast, but I wasn’t in a rush, so it didn’t bother me. Not crowded in the morning, which is a big plus

I had a confirmed reservation at Bebek Hotel by The Stay, guaranteed with my credit card. I even called two days before arrival to inform them I’d be checking in early, and everything seemed in order. Less than 24 hours before check-in, I received a sudden cancellation email and a refund — no explanation, no apology, no attempt to assist. I spent nearly an hour trying to reach someone by phone. When reception finally answered, they said they “couldn’t help” and that the reservations team was unavailable and unwilling to speak with me. No one ever called back. No one replied to my emails. This hotel operates with complete impunity and disregard for its guests. Their behavior was arrogant, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable — especially from a property that charges a premium and positions itself as a luxury destination. A last-minute cancellation without cause, zero accountability, and no willingness to even speak to the guest? Absolutely disgraceful. Avoid this place — you’re paying luxury prices, but getting treated with total indifference. Book elsewhere.

Rooms and suites have an amazing view (for the ones on the sea side). As for the rest it’s a huge disappointment, to say the least. You’d be much better welcomed in other hotels in Istanbul, especially for this price. They have a very nice terrace restaurant by the water, which you can barely access, except for breakfast. Food is nothing special. It is impossible to book it for lunch or dinner, even if you have a suite. The staff is very rude and doesnt care if you are a hotel resident. This same restaurant turns into a club (which you still can't access) with extremely loud music making it simply impossible to sleep until it stops ... After 5 am. On top of that, we had almost one hour in the complete dark as there was no power in the building. It’s clearly not a hotel. It’s a posh restaurant/club, with average food, high prices, rude staff, and some rooms available upstairs with low consideration for its residents.

I spent 3 nights at the Bebek hotel and am so happy I did. I often use the American Express FHR network when I travel but for this trip to Istanbul (my 3rd) I chose Bebek Hotel. The neighborhood is beautiful and I wanted to enjoy walks on the Bosporous each morning. The hotel has been around for a while but was taken over by a group who have really elevated the property. Top notch service, beautiful original art work, wonderful food and outstanding views (get room facing Bosporous) are all stand out characteristics. The roof bar was not open yet because of the time of year but the terrace restaurant was amazing. I ate a few meals there and in addition to the stellar food I enjoyed the scene. It’s a hot spot where beautiful people come to see, be seen and enjoy the views, food and beverages. Can’t wait to return.

I went to have breakfast in the hotel and I’ve been many times to this hotel before I went today and honestly I never saw such a thing in my very racist to us the staff were very rude and racist to us they treated us like we’re nothing and they didn’t respect us we came stayed half an hour and left honestly I booked for next week to this hotel and after I saw the treatment I canceled my booking racism and disrespect and I’ve traveled the world I’ve been to all Europe UK US and I never faced any racism except here

A trendy restaurant masquerading as a Hotel — come here if you are a local influencer — but as a guest of the Hotel — stay far far away. We waited for one hour for a table to eat our first night while the locals streamed in, the breakfast service was non existent — want your water filled up, ask, want to order, ask, the wait staff scurries around serving almost no one, looking, not serving. I have a suite — to get it cleaned — you guessed it, ask to make sure bc otherwise they won’t clean it. The staff wears all black — they look cool — but do not serve their guests. Their sole aim is to serve the local glitterati, such as it is. It is beyond disappointing and despite many pleas for service, in a suite no less, the cool kids here can’t seem to figure it out. Come and pose — just don’t stay.

My family has been coming to Bebek hotel for the last 20 years. How disappointing to see what’s happened to it since its purchase by The Stay. The new owners prioritize running a nightclub, not a hotel. Music was going every night of the week but became intolerable on Friday night. I asked at 1:00 am for the music to be turned down. Management would not do it. The music was so loud the floor was vibrating. I was traveling with two octogenarians who were so disoriented from lack of sleep that we had to check out the next morning, something I’ve never had to do during a hotel stay. I asked for a refund of the night we could not sleep, and the hotel consented. We left with a folio committing this and within 2 hours I got a text from the manager reneging on the commitment. The worst hotel experience I’ve had in decades of traveling.

Beautiful hotel with a great rooftop but terrible service and way overpriced. I booked almost a week at the hotel and had to check out half way, given the quality of service. Let me add this is the first time I’ve written a negative review and I travel a lot.

I had booked 3 nights,Sept. 6-9, 2023 paying an extra night because I was scheduled to land this morning, Sept. 7th at 5:50am in Istanbul and wanted to make sure I could check in first thing in the morning upon my long journey from the States. My flights yesterday were all delayed several times and eventually cancelled due to storms in the Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland area. Obviously missed my connecting flight to IST makng it impossible to get there until the 9th without having to buy an entirely new air ticket. With all of that said, when I asked my travel agent (American Express Travel) to call to cancel, Bebek hotel refused to refund any of the $2726.38 that they charged in full on my card prior to my arrival. Very bad business. Do not book Bebek. Could not check in due to disasterious weather and they are not willing to accommodate.

My experience was nothing short of distressing, prompting me to assign the lowest possible rating, a mere 1 star, a rating that does not adequately reflect the depth of my dissatisfaction. If I was given the option to assign a rating below 1 star, I would have without hesitation. The behavior of your staff, who should epitomize hospitality and courtesy, was anything but that. The rudest, most arrogant, and most annoying hotel staff I've ever seen was here. My friends and I planned to meet at your restaurant's entrance at 13:00 for a meal without making a reservation. When my friend arrived at the hotel before me, she was told that they do not accept customers without reservation. However, I had eaten at this hotel many times without reservation. My friend called me to explain the situation and offered to meet somewhere else. When I wanted to talk to the hotel staff to clarify the matter, she refused to talk to me on the phone. Instead she claimed that if I was this desperate to talk, I should call the hotel’s general line for communication. I was already very close to the hotel, and when I arrived at the hotel within a few minutes, the staff member not only spoke to me in a raised tone but also displayed an utter lack of professionalism, clutching onto an electronic cigarette. Although The Stay is a local brand, I was faced with a situation that I never expected to encounter in a business that I thought was trying to become a chain hotel brand by opening hotels in very important locations. After arguing at the door for a while, she invited me to leave the hotel premises immediately. As time has passed, my anger is gone, but my disappointment remains. In my opinion, it is unlikely that the lady who works at your hotel’s entrance operates without oversight from her managers. Such appalling conduct can hardly be attributed to personal decisions indicating a severe management weakness. While many criteria such as customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, supplier satisfaction in hotel management affect the position of that hotel in a global sense, I would like to inform that Bebek The Stay Hotel has failed in the first stage in terms of customer satisfaction. Your generic reply to this comment is worthless to me. I don't want you to waste your time with unnecessary apologies or excuses anyway. You should be aware that the quality of the products you offer, the beauty of your view, and the valuable name of your hotel can only be sustained with quality employees and happy customers. I hope you take it as constructive criticism. P.S. Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in indoor areas of hotels.

The location is excellent and the hotel design is interesting in a sort of maximalist luxury way. I encountered four serious issues: 1. Did not get the suite facing the Bosphorus that was booked for me. The street side view is interesting, but the noise of honking cars and police sirens never ends. There is no point in staying at an expensive hotel here without the view. 2. The huge wall of windows in my suite faced west and the electric shades did not work, so it was like an oven until sundown with only sheer curtains. 3. One heavy window fell off its hinges when I opened to let the heat escape. I caught it just before if would crash on the desk and my laptop. I advised someone on staff about this, but did not get the sense that he was concerned. 4. This is a nightclub that happens to have hotel rooms. I was in Istanbul for work and for three midweek nights could not sleep. The rooftop bar pumps bass until at least 2 AM and I could not escape the sound even with earplugs and my head buried under the lovely pillows. The glass in my room literally rattled from the bass.

I was deeply frustrated and disappointed as the hotel cancelled our booking, which was scheduled for June 23rd - 25th - Booking Ref: 787659 just 10 days before we travelled. The reason for the cancellation was a request to book the entire hotel. Finding alternative accommodation during the peak period of Eid, only 10 days away was impossible. Most hotels were either fully booked or charging extremely high rates due to the high demand. Had we been informed about this when we made our reservation on May 24th, we would have had ample time to secure alternative arrangements. I asked the hotel to fix their problem and they offered me alternative accommodation in their sister hotel, they offered us rooms with higher rates than what I found online. Unacceptable and horrible customer service, if you are looking for a hotel in Istanbul, I would look elsewhere.
