Amazing staff, the hospitality was unbelievable, friendly and always ready to assist at their best! The hotel is their people! The room was perfect for 4 persons with 2 different bedrooms! Totally recommended and the Christmas vacation was unforgettable for our family! Special bravo to the pianist!! Will come back!!!

Our 4th stay here, very nice staff, lovely luxury hotel just a short walk down to Ioannina old Town and the lake. Amazing breakfast! It is a really nice traditional hotel reflecting the spirit of the old Town of Ioannina. Parking is limited but the hotel offers auxiliary parking in an underground parking area.

It's been years since I returned to Ioannina. We got lucky when I booked our stay in the Grand Serai. The location is excellent, the breakfasts are wonderful and the hotel itself is lovely. We stayed for six days. Over that time you get a feel of about a place. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!

John, the security officer and porter, looked after us wonderfully, both during our stay at the hotel, and then also when we bumped into him at his, and our, favourite restaurant. John epitomises the level of hospitality we find whenever we come to Ioannina. The hotel was clean, our room spacious, the breakfast plentiful.

Positives:.excellent service of staff in all areas of the hotel and the food we had at the bar was amazing. Negative: do not stay in room 222. It is opposite the lift and on top of the lobby. It is extremely noisy at night and in the morning and in fact any time of day. You can hear every word people are saying when they are waiting for the lift, you can also hear guests and the cleaners passing by and chatting and pushing their trollies and you can hear people talking in the lobby. I complained about the room but was met with sympathy and not much else. I would challenge the owner/manager to stay in this room for one night...he/she might be shocked. Very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Even though the hotel is very nice and well located, one room can ruin your complete stay. By the way, if you are in the bathroom you can also hear the person above you in their bathroom...I will not go into these awful details.

I have stayed at Grand Serai for few occasions already,always found a well organized hotel that offers to us a very comfortable room and high quality services.Ioannina is a beautiful city and Grand Serai is perfectly located for our needs.We can safely park our car and have a nice walk all over the city.

Great service and location, in the heart of Ioannina. It’s a 2 min walk from the shops and restaurants of the center. The staff was very polite and helpful. Beautiful hotel, very clean and beautifully decorated! Also the breakfast had so many delicious food, fresh fruits and vegetables, freshly baked cakes, bread and pancakes!

Large hotel with the best chandeliers I have ever seen. Used by lots of groups, including schools - we had some noise problems. Breakfast has everything you could think of except proper orange juice - a strange omission, what they had was a cordial. Although the weather was quite warm the airconditioning was not yet available. Staff pleasant, bar prices not too high. Good bathroom and room size and furnishings good.
