The large family room and big back porch create an ideal environment for relaxing!The house was built around 1850 by Thomas Blades, a young sailor. The first floor of the original portion of the Blades House includes a LIVING ROOM and a DINING ROOM. To the rear of the original house on the first floor is a KITCHEN area connected to a large wood paneled FAMILY ROOM. The house was originally built at only 16 feet wide but enlarged to the current width soon thereafter.The first floor of the original portion of the Melson House includes a living room and a dining room. To the rear of the original house on the first floor is a kitchen area which opens up by French doors to an outdoor patio. Also connected to the kitchen is a large family room with a queen sleep sofa. There is a half bath off the family room. The second floor of the original portion of the Melson house is a bedroom having two twin beds and a half bath. The second floor to the rear of the house (accessed by a different staircase than that in the original portion), contains the master bedroom having a queen size bed.
