Take to the land and try out some biking, hiking, golf or other endless outings either locally or on a day trip to Burlington, St. Albans or Montreal (all about an hour or less away).~The Cottage~Single level ranch style home with an open floor plan allowing for a feeling of togetherness with family and friends. We provide linens, bath and beach towels, washer, dryer and general toiletries for your convenience. This home was recently converted from a single-family home to a full-time resort. The amenities and decor give it a unique, nautically-themed ambiance in the summer and a cozy, winter wonderland feel in the winter. Conveniently located just off route 78 between Swanton and Alburgh, Vermont, this home is situated on a bay between two bridges sheltering swimmers, paddle boards, and kayaks from winds and high waves. The area's only sand beach is also just a block from the house. For anglers, the Bass/Walleye/Northern Pike bite is the best on the lake. Guests have easy access to Hog Island Market (5 min) for fishing licenses, bait and tackle, beer and wine, and other convenience store items.Pontoon and fishing boat rentals are also close by at Campbell's Bay Campground (4 miles). The Alburgh Recreational park and rail trail entrance is just a block south of the home where guests can hike or ride bikes on the 5-mile nature trail.
