"The most amazing place I've ever stayed.
An absolute delight to stay in these loving preserved buildings. Our room was large and comfortable with beautiful carpentry. The staff were lovely and so helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were tasty local specialities. The village is beautiful, peaceful and had plenty to explore. We loved the free museum introducing the local building traditions. Our only regret was not staying an extra night. This truly is a lost world."

"I stayed in this city for one night just because I had the time, but there's not much to do around here other than the tower and the bridge (check the picturus). Sanjiangdong is the one that's really worth. The hotel was ok, good for the low price, but I would say it needs some renovations. Still it was fun to sleep in a round shape bed."

Amazing location, right in the center, next to the drum tower and dadongzhai. The hotel was nice for the price, nice view to the drum tower from the third floor (check my pictures). We had a small problem with the hot water, the staff allowed us to switch rooms or just use the other room toilet, since our room had a better view over the tower.

Our stay at Sanjiang Juyoulou Inn was great and the Inn owners are a sweet, amazing couple that helped us out a lot!
We wanted to learn about the local handcraft and the owner helped us to organise a lesson in Chinese embroidery through some of his contacts, which was so cool! They also helped us to book places for the banquet and the festivities at the drum tower, which, through a collab, is also cheaper than if we had booked them ourselves :)
On our last day, we left for the rice terraces in a even more rural area, and the owner explained us exactly - with a sweet hand-written note - how to get there with the different busses we needed to take. He also drove us to the first bus stop in his personal car for free. Amazing and kind people, a beautiful room and a nice view :)

Huge hotel, typical Chinese style but totally modern with all what you can wish. The staff speak good English and is very helpful. Big parking if you come by car. The hotel is located on a small hill with a nice view of Sanjiang city. Only 2km from the bird’s nest and drum tower. Very big room with all amenities. Special mention for the beds which are fantastically comfortable.

The girl who checked me in was really really nice. Very kind and helpful.
I had kinda big issue during my stay, at 3am the lock reader started to beep very loudly. I tried to ignore but the sound was very annoying and exhausting. Stayed for an hour hoping would stop at any time but it didn’t happen. I informed front desk at 4am and the guy came up to help. We didn’t figure out what causes the problem but the staff ended up fixing it.
Despite this incident, the overall is really good. 9,5/10
